The mod I speak of is, for now, dedicated to produce, by genetic manipulations, new slaves.

You'll have a clinic with :

- Some mother surrogates, their only task will be to produce foetus. One dedicated assistant will have the mission to maintain them in good health.

- Some special cells permitting to make young children growing to produce lolita (or perhaps older ones, to see). One dedicated assistant will have the mission to maintain them in good health.

- Some special cells, half life/half cryo, permitting to stock slaves from which you pum mind to aliment children mind (transfer). One dedicated assistant will have the mission to maintain them in good health.

The main goal is to be integrated in the game without breaking balance and make it to easy (in my mind it will be the contrary).

So, each slave or assistant will have specifications needed to have any role and must be trained to the role before being able to do the job.

Each slave or assistant much have food to live.

Each cell will have a buying cost, to avoid a nw user having the control of each of them and permit the gameplay to be progressive.

Each slave (to see for the assistants) will loose some capacities while affected at any role and can only produce a few result before to die or to become a pig for the barn. So you'll have constantly the need of new slaves.

Each new slave produced will be limited, no perfect slaves will be produced.

All the rule are to do but the complete set of rules must respect the main goal.

The ideas that have been played with for a way to have children of your own in the game for /hgg/mod have all involved them being born and possibly raised in other realms for this reason, and even that involves dealing with the smugglers because it's illegal to import living creatures to Eternal Rome.

So I immediatly see options :

1/ Vatican have the power to make birthing pregancy but keep it secret cause they don't want an erratic population in Rome and they use a lot young slaves for unknow reasons (perhaps to produce sparks). Player is missionned by Vatican to make growing the foetus they furnish.

2/ Player owns a secret clinic in the slums so he directly get babys (no pregnancy) and so I loose the foetus growing part.

I clearly prefer the first idea, permetting more interactions and more use for the slaves we train.

The problem is that the whole 'what's the deal with pregnancy in Eternal Rome' question has an answer that Old Huntsman knows, but AFAIK he hasn't shared. Maybe the Vatican knows how to many viable offspring. Maybe the children are born as monsters, or it's impossible for live birth, and the Vatican is hiding it for some reason. My pet theory is the Vatican turns unborn children into sparks somehow, and don't know or care how to make pregnancy viable because sparks are what makes Eternal Rome possible.

The easiest way to bypass the problem is to have the player be able to set up a clinic in another realm, possibly the one the Smugglers deal with for the cloned slaves, who would certainly have the technology to make it happen. Then have it so that the player can visit that clinic with their current slave an assistant if they spend an entire day doing so (to simulate travel time through the Fog) and then have the clinic interactions there. This'd also be a pretty good balancing factor - instead of spending two whole days on travel, you could just go to the auctions and buy a normal slave, balancing out any advantages of the clinic.

I agree to with the easiest way you explain. I'm happy on the idea of an illegal job, permetting a lot of future interactions what could be the devs done on the city.

I think I'll developp the idea of having house and clinic in the slums :

Permits to use and developp the existing house (perhaps the moneylander could manage secretly the upgrades)

Permits to deal with smugglers :

- Import of foetus from other planets

- Buying clinic slaves cause they consider that for now their approvisionner'prices are too high (note they only by clinic slaves not to destroy of slaves sellers interest)

Else, if no other solution, teleportation house<->clinic which is on other planet but it's too RP easy mode :)

Here is my first set of ideas - First part, the foetus to baby process

Mother surrogates :

Their function is to make a foetus growing.

They are impleted a foetus, they are permanently immerged, half sleeping, in a nutritive bath.

The quality of the nutritive bath depends of the disponibility of milk, meat and fiends cum.

Due to their inaction their health attributes decrease. Due to the sleeping drugs their mind attributes decrease.

When health attributes and/or mind attributes are to low they are not capable to maintain a foetus anymore and they are butchered.

Requirements :

To accept the role, a slave must have low/medium intellect (Retarted - Bright). The dominance level of the master will define the maximum level the the intellect of the slave. Only indomitable master can have bright mother surrogates.

Minimum endurance must be healthy

Fiend mating, Fisting, Enema and Exhibitionism must be at last level 2 (so slave is enough obedient and accustomed)

Minimum rank must be D

Tips:

There is no minimum empathy (but beware if mother surrogate don't want to take care of the foetus :) )

There is no minimum beauty (but beware not to produce unusable monsters)

Process :

When you affect a slave to job, a foetus is implented - If you retrieve a slave from job, the foetus is destroyed

For each slave you permanently see the health of the slave and her productivity, the health and size of foetus.

If slave health is less than 50% foetus growing is altered, if health is less than 25% foetus is destroyed.

The productivity depends of slave's attributes, if productivity is less than xxx% (to define for balancing) the foetus is destroyed.

The foetus health depends of slave's endurance and empathy, and bath quality.

When foetus grow is ended, birth happens. If there is an empty space in the babies room baby is conserved, else it is destroyed.

Mother surrogates assistant :

His role is to manage the mother surrogates health and productivity, manage the bath quality and alert the master when there is an event.

You can't have any mother surrogate without having a mother surrogates assistant

Number of slaves an assistant can manage is not limited but if assistant quality is too low some slaves will waste away and die.

Bath management quality will depend of secretary level and cooking level (and evidently of disponibility of the nutritives)

Slave management quality will depend of nurse level, empathy and wizard level (and evidently of disponibility of the potions)

Devotion level influes on all interactions.

Requirements :

Devotion must be at least 1

Intellect must be at last bright

Empathy must be at last sensitive

Cook, Nurse must be at least blue

Enchantress must be at last dark blue

Petting must be at last dark blue (to see : assistant will apply massages on slave)

Process :

Process calculations will be done each night. To define exactly what is done.

This whole new concept of genetic manipulation during pregnancy may make a whole expansion patch to the old game. As BoneM mentioned, the smuggler will transport you to the different world where pregnancy is possible. This is where the game takes the new turn.

As we come to the different world, where birth is possible and spark is useless. Tbere is another nation where people also fight against the fog like the starting place. This place has a different system that slavery is not allowed in the first place. This sets a new customer base who will pay you a higher price or different goods in exchange for a slave. The new task will be smuggling these slaves. In exchange, you can access to some new underground technology.

The setting is quite interesting but it's too much work to do so I do not really want to take it too seriously if there is no more than 3 people agreeing to seriously work on this.

For now, I have no intention to do anything on pregnancy, maybe later if interesting.

The only work, for now, for the mother surrogates and their assistant will be maintain the health of the foetus but I could have begin at baby stade.

I did had this part cause it's a pity, at a certain level, to have some slave we have no use. Here you will have 6 slots for these slaves.

The main part of the mod will be to grow a baby to an immature slave, educating her in the way we want.

One person made the entire base game. Projects like this, teamwork is a nice bonus but ultimately unnecessary a lot of the time - what matters is someone dedicated enough to keep working until it's done, happily accepting ideas and pictures and code from others when they're there but if they're not they keep working by themselves anyway.

That said, this idea can be very, very granular. Step one, add a new option to the Smugglers - 'travel to Otherworldia' or whatever. Then have a small menu there. First option: Introductions. A smuggler introduces you to their contact on this new world, who then introduces you to some of the more morally flexible members of the nobility/upper class/alpha-plus/ruling caste/whatever. Make up a noble for this world and come up with the sort of slave they'd want, use the exact same code as the current missions for the Deacons and whatnot in the base game. When the player produces a slave trained to those specifications, they get paid in whatever type of good suits Otherworldia, and then once they get back to Eternal Rome they sell those goods for sparks. Bam, that's a fully fleshed-out addition to the game.

Then the next step - distinguish this other world. Maybe one of the people you're dealing with wants their daughter to be more obedient so he gives her to you for retraining, think the difficulty of the Normal-level tutorial, and he demands her back with her virginity intact (but it can be restored). One of them kidnaps a female rival and wants them broken, they give them to you. Another wants a bodyguard. Another wants a fog fiend. And so on. Each of those can be added separately.

All of these missions build up political capital that can be spent for whatever. Underground gestation lab? Secret technology? Cheap slaves? Whatever suits the world.

And once you've got that other world framework it'll be really easy to add new ones - add a new entry on the smuggler menu. Travel to Fuedalworldia. Travel to Technoworldia. Duplicate the code except it leads to a new menu with a new background picture.

Biting off more than can be chewed kills projects. The trick is to divide them into bite-size chunks, especially if it's something that can be hammered out by a passing Anon who has a brief period of productivity before they get bored and wander off again. Way back at the start of /hgg/mod someone said they'd write an epic and accurate portrayal of someone being brainwashed into a cowgirl. Slightly more recently, another person spent maybe ten minutes modifying the code for relaxed sex to be relaxed anal sex. The latter is in the mod. The former isn't, because none of it's surfaced yet. Maybe the guy's still working on it, maybe he isn't - it wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't because he bit off a lot in one go, and I'd be surprised if it turns out to be chewable.

Clear! Modularity and granularity is the most important thing when you dev a project with many people.

Every dev must isolate if possible his code and the only things to be shared must be the main code and the base object/functions cause they can be used in more than one module.

One more rule for the surrogate mothers and bearers of knowledge : once you put a slave in a cell it is definitly attached to the cell and you can't retrieve it.

RP: chirurgical operations are tone to modify the physiology of the cell and it become dependant of the cell.

Tech: I have some attributes (for ex. condition and health) I add to the slaves entering cell and they would be reseted if retrieving, so would be easy to abuse for restoring max level of contition and health.

By day :

For the surrogate mother baths, 1 milk + 1 vegetable + 1 meat + 1 fiend semen

For the bearears of knowledge baths, 1 alcohol + 1 vegetable + 1 meat + 1 fiend semen

Direct eats :

For the assistants :

1 vegetable + 1 meat + 1 fiend semen

For the babies :

2 milks + a vegetable + 2 fiend semen

For the children :

2 meats + 2 vegetables + 1 cream + + 2 fiend semen

that has its own complications, the assistant autobuy (and the barn autosell) are designed around the need for the house alone, adding more stuff that consumes resources runs the risk of upsetting that balance, and would need modifying based on what uses that stuff, all in all it is a lot of trouble just to add potential player annoyance and no advantages, flat daily cost behind the scene is easier, cleaner, dosn't need upkeep in future mods and doesn't risk annoying the player as much.

You are right while the barn and the clinic are in the house.

I already have mind problem to imagine a barn IN the apartment and more problem to imagine a secret complete clinic in it :D

More, we speaked a lot of moving some dependency on other planets to solve the RP problem (and I think the barn when completed will be the same) so I think that this may be a different budget than the Rome's sparks one.

So, I'll do like the actual barn, managing a clinic bill and the only code I'll add will be in the billing system, adding my gain and debt for now to the general bill.

In dev, the complexity of today is the facility of tomorrow. If clinic is moved elsewhere the only code to modify is the one added in the bill system.

"As a patrician of house X, you get visited in the early morning by a detatchment of the swis guard, and a servant.

The servant explains to you that since you are in such high standing with one or several houses of the city, you assistance is needed.

There has been an extraordinary effort of mages, and they seem to have found out that for a medium fee per day you can get a magic field up that "cancels" out the magic field of the eternal city. The price however is high:

The ones who enter the magic field will be trapped in there untill the field is collapsed, in which case, they re turned to sparks. ( explaining away the need to feed it fresh slaves, and why you can't simply "turn it off", or get your slaves out ( those who onbce crossed the mists are save, But those who cross the mists multiple times…. Not so secure. The mists mark them, and drain their life force. )

But children born there….

They may be able to cross the mists. into Holy rome. The mists have not marked them yet. But mothers and such, they will be trapped till the end of their days in there, because if the slave lifeforce is diminished, the field pulls all sparks of life out of the slave.

They offer you the rights to pioneer the technology for a modest sum of 10.000 sparks.

This is where the complications start. the assistants are basically shields, and get their fat reserves decreased daily. If the assistants die, then it goes after the children, then, after the mothers, and then, after the bearer of knowledge and the surrogate mother. Then, the structure collapses, and you have to pay a mage to errect the structure again.

What I would like to see:

- a taxation on the output of the farm. The church gets every tenth Loli from there. The house should get a percentage, for their own needs. I would say, the undead turn the slaves they get into blood and organ bags, and suck them dry. The Animal humanoids just take the slaves for breeding stock, and as "feed"… Serpentis takes the lolis and makes replacement limbs and such out of it ( you did not really think that when meat beciomes so disgusting, free health would be any less disgusting?Transplant surgery ahoy…), and The decadent house taurus simply take heir slaves and use them as free better quality slaves. It means every X.th baby born there gets automatically, once it is "ripe", taken to the house, and you get a nominal fee.

- allow for the life force of fiends to be sacrificed. lf you manage to get a fiend in the barrier, it will attack the fiend first, and slowly drain his health.

- allow for a special customisation if the baby is yours. After all, magic can pass the barrier. allow for the cheat menu to be reintroduced in a "soft" form. i.e., pay this many sparks to get the slave to the right age category, this many sparks to set the attributes, and this many sparks to "form the aura." The price for this should be far higher then what you would pay for a similarely trained slave on the street, because here, you are guaranteed delivery in a timel fashion.

- all inb all, the clinic should be a sort of moneysink and cheat laboratory in one. you have to really invet some sparks to get this going, and you will be buying slaves like crazy, but once this is up and running, you have the ability to deliver custom made slaves, with just the ight set of traits.

For now, the major problem we have is we think that Old Jack (the game creator) has is own view on the pregnancy question and perhaps he will introduce this in the game later.

So, the risk to add RP rules in Ancient Rome is to not be right with these future rules. Migrating to the slums or an other planet avoid this but need some more dev.

well, simple consideration:

- give this as an end game bonus. Thus, give it a prequesite like, you need to be at least of a certain fame, and in good standing with some houses.

- the reward: aside from a potentially neverending stream of lolis, allows you to potentially custom order slaves, just the way you like them, if you are willing to spend the sparks. the same mechanic is already active in the custom order slave from slaveguild mechnic, so it needs to be quite a bit more expensive.

- I could also se it coupled on fiend research, and to the fog. Reason being, the fiends are able to breed in the fog…if a researcher could find out how the fiends breed…

- basic idea:

How about you go the tammany route? simply put, eternal rome is eternal rome… but if lets say you had an actual base in the fog…. it would not be under the jurisdiction of the vatican, right?

If, lets say, a patrician started a "wellfare program", and funneled sparks in the slums…. of which a significant portion would go towards the smugglers… who would then use it to build a fog base, and allow you to use the hermetically sealed basements… It would allow you to have an underground vector ( i.e. your fogbase 1), and an aboveground meeting place to deal with the smugglers, who may want specialised slaves, or even visitors from other worlds ( randomly generated requests to train a slave).

- I mean, lets be realistic, 4 houses, plus the vatican, that reads lacking endgame content. However, a base out in the mist, that you have to upgrade ( read: invest sparks in such things as stable walls and a generator) and maintain, but that in return would allow you to be the undisputed king in the mists….

But yea… with the latest merged mod patch, the cheat menu does no longer work, so if you could implement a soft method to get the slave just right….

The cheat menu was intentionally removed because i could not get the code for it to play well with the other mods and updates, since i'm not especially fond of cheating anyway i decided to cut it instead of spending a potential long time to get it to work.

It won't be like that! I 'hate' such games where only the end game is concerned (elitist games?) adn have no commercial purpose like 'rush the 90 first levels while subscribing to reach the interest part of the game' (who said WoW?).

For me a good extension must be integrated for all players to use, beginners and end users, and must be intersting for all.

So the clinic will be accessible with few potential near the beginning of the game and its performance will increase as you develop your char and the clinic itself.

The clinic is constructed by ????? and devices are furnished by ?????. As your fame with ????? increase you'll get better basis foetus and better devices increasing the productivity of all the slaves and you'll be able to produce more good immature slaves.

For now I use general fame as ????? fame but the mod will be done in sort I can use other fame and perhaps more than one fame.

But I'll see that when clinic will be finished, in part 3 of my plan (see my second post here). For now I read all post and stock the ideas, when time comes I'll analyze all that, I hope with other modders, to see how to integrate.

Concerning cheating, anyone can do a slave generation factory himself, see my second alpha, there are a few lines concerning that I integrated for my debug purpose.

An other option for the clinic, that should be easie to write:

you get entrusted with a smuggled artifact, that costs like 2000 sparks. Surprise, its a posessing demon, that was bound in the vatican archives, and has spend the last 300 years in a bottle. Thankfully for you, it is relatively chill, and just happy enough to be out that it agrees to work with you.

Giving it back to the vatican will re enable the possibility of you finding it.

The trick is, the demon in the bottle makes you a deal. It has been locked up so long, and it can only leave the bottle with its owners permission, it longs for some sweet sweet pampering. And there is something the slavemaker is good at.

The demon itself will inhabit an unwilling host slave, and will basically use her as a host body.

requirements:

Basically, hosting an extra person in a room.

Could be as simple as renting a special boudoir, or as complicated as special renting a room that you then have to furnish in a specific manner.

It changes when you talk to him about manipulating his host body. For the demon, its childs play, but he nees some of those tasty tasty sparks as payment.

bigger breasts? better maid skills? nore devotion? Everything is possible with a sufficiently motivated demon. Just deposit the sparks…

The trouble is just, the slave bodies are not allways strong enough to hold the demon. If the demon just inhabits, he can do so for 100 days straight in the same slave. but in the end, he needs to transfer to an other slave, which he will ask sparks for from you if you order him to jump the slave before it is "used up". .

also, certain actions could result in a degradation:

- have a child. The easiest way to get a new host body, to simply make one. Sadly, the demon has particular tastes, so as a base, his slave-children are allmost all red in the stats. he can be convinced to change the things, but demands payment. ( but I like morbidly obese hostbodies!!!)

All his children will be immediate lolis, because you need at least some form of conciousness to exist in. The only thing he does for free.

better breasts? that's either 100 sparks for one step in either way, or 10.000 sparks and an a+ slave ( that you don't get paid for, and that he immediatelly destroys) for you having a gamelong free pick on what kinds of breasts the slave should have.

The basic principle should hold. In the beginning, the nslave has the worst stats, and the demon demands X as the cost for the increase in one direction away from something, x*100 for permanently increasing it one step if it is something desireable ( lets say, maid skills), or for a free pick ( example: breast size).

every two children the current body has, or after 100 days, whichever comes first, the demon complains that this body has barely any use in it, so you will have to give him a new one. he refuses to do any work, untill you give him a new body. The old body is returned, in the condition you convinced the demon to leave it in, and not a virgin. If you do not make any requests at all, or if the demon was really long in the body, it is returned mindbroken, and with all stats in the red, only ripe for slaughter

That way, you would circumvent :

- why is pregnancy suddenly possible ( because you enlist the help of demons that can do this).

- doesnt that mean that you will no longer buy slaves? ( only if you enjoy training the worst possible slaves, or have upwards of 100k lying around to stat out your demon, and after you have amassed such a fortune, I would not look at you crooked if you wanted a faster track. )

- But… that would allow the sale of demon children to the vatican ( some of the vatican have the requirement that the slave must be a virgin… those that dont would not seem to care about fucking demonbred spawn).

- RP explaining how you managed to get an entire clinic running and had the medical expertise to suddenly make pregnancies possible ( The vatican has been trying for the longest time, but the vatican does not cooperate with demons ( at least not oficcially. (wanna take a guess how the demon ended up in the bottle in the first place?)))

- with end game content I meant, that soon, you will be finished with selling slaves to all the nobles, and what then? After all, we already hve a preccedent for this. The smuggler claims she is sending people through the mist to get her merchandise. Or does she in reality just have an allmost well statted demon that fulfills her wishes, in exchange for slaves? Is that why the ordered slaves remember nothing, and only growing up in a tank, which in hindsight uspiciously looks like a bottle?

Quite simply put, I want something in early, mid and endgame that I can pump money in. Something that basically allows me to customize my slave, and something that can make pregnancies and artificial magical aging a thing.
