This is a board for SmileBASIC, a program available for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U consoles.

In it you can script your own games using a game oriented variant of a classic programming language.

SmileBoom, the company responsible for SmileBASIC, wants to share their love of the BASIC language that introduced many to the craft of programming.

In this board you can share your codes and game creations or talk about SmileBASIC in general. Any links to programs found to be malicious will be deleted.

Some games that impressed me:

EB2XEEKV - Strawberry Storm Striker by yunomi. Touchscreen based arena shmup. Supports the Ciclepad Pro and likely works much better because of it. Great graphics!

N3A5E3L3 - Arcanum Stone by hiraiyukio. A great fighting game with a lot of detail to animations, characters & stages. My favorite so far!

JD2EE2QV - Solid Gunner by SmileBoom. Very well polished vertical shmup released officially by SmileBoom.

QK4N3PZF - Spooky Maze by calc84maniac. A raycasted 3D maze with spooky skeletons. Technically impressive and the library it comes with opens the door for others to make 3D games as well.

So, someone on the /v/ thread mentioned using a physical keyboard, or rather, the Pokemon keyboard, which is just a bluetooth keyboard.

Is that only for the upcoming WiiU version, or also compatible with the 3DS version?

pic unrelated.

AFAIK the Wii U version will have USB keyboard support. So I imagine that would mean any USB keyboard that doesn't require special drivers. Where did you see that the Pokemon Keyboard could be used? Are you not referring to the 3DS version? The Wii U version is not out yet.

I could not find the thread, unfortunately.
