Hello, /socio/logists.

What framework of psychology/sociology is most appealing?

What got you into sociology/psychology?

What are you studying or looking into at the moment?

Personally, my psychosocial philosophy shares a crude mix of Jungian psychology with some Barthes, Baudrillard and Foucault providing sociological inspiration. At this moment, I am reading Philosophy, Politics and Culture.

One month into college, political science major. Love my classes, still feel like I'm missing out on my love of literature, poetry, art, all that, but I'd feel that way if I was an English major about politics.

Anyway, I've loved it so far. It honestly makes /pol/ seem stupid. I'm still conservative, but /pol/'s theories rule out way too many variables.

What exactly is it like studying a social science in the USA anyway? The memes about American universities seem quite alien to me (I studied Sociology at a British university)
