I used to own a N64, PS1, Xbox, Gamecube, Wii, and a 3DS, but sold those away or threw them away because they were damaged.
Considering getting a PS4, but other than niche JRPGs that will most likely be PS4 exclusive, I don't really have any games I want to play on it (besides Silent Hills).

God damn though, the DS and PSP were pretty wonderful, this generation of handhelds is kind of shit in comparison.

First off, thank you for taking your time to check out /sony/, a place to talk about all things Playstation. I know most of you spend years posting or shitposting on 4chan and treated it as your home and its poster as your anonymous brothers. But with the recent controversy, Moot has shit all over anonymous posting and what is stand for. No longer can you post anonymously or even conveniently, thus those who won't take that bullshit anymore ended up here. A new home free from moot's faggotry.

While 8chan works relatively similar to 4chan, we do have some cool new features and different ways of doing stuff.
In this thread, I will explain some of the stuff and how we run things here on 8chan and /sony/. Basically a guide for the newfags.
Feel free to use this thread to test some of the new features and to familiarize yourself with the reply box.

Also, if you have any suggestion, complaint, or question, feel free to post it here.

This is probably just childhood nostalgia poisoning my judgement but I think the original ps1 boot up screen is the best. Something about that metallic synth sound always mystified me as a kid. Maybe I was just easy to mystify.

Sony's made a lot of changes over the years, for better and for worse. Granted, their consoles continue to be the best on the market handhelds notwithstanding but it seems like they've lost a little magic since the ps1. Am I just a nostalgiafag or am I a nostalgiafag with an actual point?

for the record, my PS3 is the only console I use right now, so don't think I'm some kind of 8 bit elitist
