some well known ones:

me viene como anillo al dedo -> it fits like a glove there's another translation for this one IIRC, but it escapes me

llueve a cántaros -> it's raining cats and dogs

ir al grano -> to get to the point

tomarle el pelo a alguien -> to pull somebody's leg / take the piss out of someone

buscarle la quinta pata al gato -> to make a mountain out of a molehill i.e. to be overly far-fetched and find faults where there are none

PS: dictionaries a shit for this kind of stuff. They often yield inaccurate/awkward translations, if they don't lack them outright. You'll have to build your own collection of expressions and idioms from the ground up. Also, bear in mind that plenty of idioms translate awfully (or not at all) into English and viceversa

PPS: you're adventuring into one of the toughest areas of the language. Tread carefully.

Here's some idioms:

"es que" (no real translation, you'll just have to recognize these things)

They're just fillers. Usually, you'll hear them, then a short pause follows and then they continue.
