THIS THREAD HAVE VERY OFFENSIVE WORDS, AND MOST OF THE WORDS I DESCRIBE AT NEXT ARE VERY RUDE
but this is an +18 site, so you can take it.
Hello there, anons.
I was thinking that we could contribute to the learning of the anons giving them a quick lesson on how to interpretate the "jerga" of your country. Like, the real words that the people on your area use, giving them an idea of how they are used in the casual conversation and the way their meaning change because of the context.
Mexifag here, this are some words that you have to know pretty well. If you don't, good luck trying to follow a casual conversation within two mexicans.
Cabrón:The real meaning is the male goat. Female is cabra and male is cabron. But slang use is far more common. Depending on countries it seems to have somehow different but similar meanings. A good definiton that would apply in almost all Spanish speaking countries would be asshole. In some places the word also means a person that is not with his partner. Example: "Se fue de cabron".He went to fuck around. In this way it always has the connotation that he is looking for an affair. It is oftenly used as "dude" too.
Its used too to describe a male who is a cheater or a womenizer.
It can be used too as an adjective, to tell something its hard, dificult or have big cualities: "Está cabrón", "Eres bien cabrón".
Pedo: this word has plenty of meanings.
First of all, it means "fart". Nothing much to say about that.
It can be used as and synonym of "situation": "Está cabrón el pedo."
Its very common to use it with the meaning of "drunk": "El tipo se bebió toda una botella y se puso super pedo"
"The guy drank a whole bottle and he went super drunk"
Its used too to say something its dificult: "Es un pedo".
Chingar/chingón: I could give you a professorship about this word, but i'll try to resume it.
Chingar means "fuck". Literally.
It could be used in the same contexts. A very common frase is "Chinga tu madre", that means "go fuck your mom".
Chingón means something its great, big, or have great cualities. Example: "You beat that giant nigger who slaped your gf's ass. You're very chingón."
Verga: penis.
Vete a la verga: the same as "chinga tu madre".
Está bien verga: "it's great".
Está de la verga: "it's horrible".
Valer verga: don't having any value, or being fucked.
Puto: depending of the context, it can be "gay"; or Ser bien puto, that means womenizer.
It's an insult, so don't call gay people like that or they will beat the shit out of you.
Maricón: gay
Marica: gay
Joto: gay
Mariposón: gay
Rarito: gay
Del otro bando: gay
Muerde almohadas: pasive gay
Sopla nucas: active gay
Puñal: gay
Loca: gay
Mayate: gay
Gay: gay
(I don't have absolutly nothing against gay people, but we have a lot of terms to say "gay")
Madre: i'm not gonna give you all the fucking meanings. I would write a whole book of this word. Google it, because its extremly important if you wanna survive in Mexico.
Mamar: give oral sex, or be joking.
Culero: asshole.
Simón: yes.
Nel: no.
Morro: niño.
Chavo: young one.
Ruco: old one
Pendejo: fool
thing to long, hope you will help and post your regional-national words. Good luck learning!
Also: if you are a native spanish speaker, you can contribute so non-spanish speaking anons can undestand us better when they visit our countries.

P.D: its extremly important to not use this words in a formal conversation or with people you don't know. This are used between two friends, between kids and uneducated people.
They sound very rude, but the majority of people use words like "madre", "pedo", and "Hueva" in their daily conversations.
Also, "hueva" means "Laziness"

Argie slang
These are a few words.
Note: I'm trying to describe the meanings here. Translations may not be that accurate or carry the same level of vulgarity. Swear words don't tend to carry over that well.
Cana, yuta: the police.
Milico: a soldier or member of the military (may be derogatory depending on use). Also used to refer (pejoratively) to the police.
Mogólico: derives from mongólico (mong), but is used to mean moron in practice.
Rascarse: to loiter or loaf, for ex. when at work. Rascarse el higo, rascarse a dos manos, and rascarse las bolas all mean the same.
"Dejá de rascarte las bolas y hacé algo" -> "Get off your ass and do something"
Coger: to fuck.
"Me cogieron" -> "I got pummeled/destroyed" (in a a competition or online game, usu. against significantly outclassed).
Culo: ass (one's rear). Can also be used to refer to luck: "Qué culo" -> "How lucky". "Tiene el culo más grande que una casa" -> "He's a lucky bastard"
Orto: ass. More vulgar than culo.
"Salió para el orto" -> "It went very badly"
Chapar: to make out.
Transar: to make out. Alternatively, to strike a shady deal outside the law (used generally with politicians, law enforcement, etc.).
Capo: a skilful individual; one who is very knowledgeable about a topic. You're way more likely to find it used sarcastically to disparage rather than literally.
Also, it's one of the many words used as a substitute of "dude" or "man" (since Argie Spanish sorely lacks an equivalent of that).
"¡Sos un capo!" (roughly, You're the man!/You rock!, etc.)
"Capo, ¿tenés hora?" (Hey man, do you have the time?)
Birra: beer.
Groso: cool, big (in gravity). "Sos un groso" -> "You're great". "Fulano se metió en un lío groso" -> "Fulano is in deep shit". "Este juego está re groso" -> "This game's pretty cool"
Pendejo: a young kid (derogatory), also used to mean young. "Cuando era pendejo, me chupaba todo" -> "When I was young, I would drink myself blind". "Rajá de acá, pendejo de mierda" -> "Go away, you fucking brat"
Chupar: to blow, to suck. Also means to drink (alcohol). Needless to say it lends itself a lot to innuendo.
"Me chupa un huevo" -> "I don't give a fuck"
Puto: catch-all insult directed at males. May mean asshole, bastard, son of a bitch, etc. May also mean gay.
Puta: catch-all insult towards females. May mean slutty or whorish, bitch, cunt, or an actual prostitute (although it's not used to directly address them).
Villero: actually means anyone who lives in the slums. People use it to describe Argentine chavs. The stereotype goes that they smoke cocaine paste (paco), wearing soccer shirts and sports tracksuits, live on welfare, steal for a living, etc.
Maricón: pussy (as in coward), or, rarely, gay.
Enfermo/enfermito: Basically means sicko (as in degenerate). Also used to insult an inept person.
"Sos un enfermo" -> "You're a sicko/sick fuck"
"Estás enfermo" -> "You're sick!"/"You have issues"
Concha: cooter, pussy (the human kind, you sick fuck!)
Verga, pija, chota: dick.
Mina: a woman. No relation to mines.
Joder: synonym of molestar (to bother, annoy, tease). Also synonym of jorobarse.
"¿Me estás jodiendo?" -> "Are you kidding me/pulling my leg?"
"No me jodas con eso" -> "Don't come with that shit"
"No hiciste caso. Ahora jodete" -> "You didn't listen, now deal with it"
Cagar: literally, to take a shit. This word has a fuckton of uses.
1. to scam/swindle. "Me cagaron con el vuelto" -> "I got shortchanged"
2. to fuck (sth) up. "La cagaste" ~= "You dun fucked up". "Me cagaste el día" -> "You ruined my day"
And a lot more.

>>99>I was thinking that we could contribute to the learning of the anons giving them a >quick lesson on how to interpretate the "jerga" of your country. MOTHER OF CHILENISMS! U MAD BRO?Pro tip: tourist in Chile, if you are not staying for long, speak as formal as you can. This is just a little collection of slangs:
https://suablog.wordpress.com/2009/10/29/chilean-spanish-101/Chile is really creative when it comes to language. Also, siendo un largo y angosto trozo de tierra
(long and narrow piece of land) if you travel from north to south, you'll see lots of different dialects, i mean, how to call a box-cutter ("tip-top" or "cortacarton") is something that get's informally discussed when different parts of the country get in contact. We have a reputation of being rude in some near countries, i guess a lot of it because internet speaking between chileans on general latin and hispanic chats, and some typical nationalism; but if you are foreign and you explain it, most of the times, chilean people is nice with you.
Oh, and there's a whole world of definitions and uses for the word "Weon", from meaning "friend", being an insult, refering to an object, and a lot more, but PLEASE don't use it in formal conversations or with people you don't know.

there's some i don't know, cause they are all weird mexican slang, the ones i do:
>te vuelvan a dar por culo
"may they fuck you in the ass" (it actually is "may the fuck you AGAIN in the ass", but its cause weird mexicanisms, not literally 'again')
>que te vayas a la mierda
"fuck off"
>pinche pendejo
"fucking douche"
>no mamés
"you are fucking with me!"/"you can't be serious"
>pinche perro
literally means "fucking dog", maybe 'dog' is slang for another thing, but i think its to be used when one is being disgusting
>veta a la verga
"fuck off"
