I dislike dubs due to translation changes in general, I want the creator's intent.

That and dubs have like 3 voice actors for anything that's low budget.

I don't know why I bother really, it's just important to me that I get the original creation and intent. I'm that way with a lot of things, game versions too. I actively play Japanese SotN 1.0 to enjoy bugs not present within other versions of the game (they're not gamebreaking, just amusing) such as 1.0 English.

For someone to be paid to translate and then give even a slightly different variation is greatly troubling to me because at that point I feel like I'm getting their interpretation, not the creators.

Correct, but I want the creator's interpretation. It's 100% authentic whereas I may receive a 99.9% authentic interpretation through someone's translation.

Why would I pick 99.9% when I could have 100% unless I didn't have a choice? It's a troublesome problem to have.

Under what context would an interpretation be better then? I generally find say, books turned into movies lose an immense amount of depth and intricacy to the point where the movie is often duller.

I also don't really watch anime, but the only time I found interpretations to be "better" is when they translated shit like bento to be hamburger, more amusing.

I agree with many of thoses, remakes can be a lot better, but I still prefer to see the original before a remake.

I disagree with resolving plotholes unless the creator specifically resolved said plothole in the remake, though.
