Arsenal Overhaul has quickly become my personal favorite for CoP. Adds something like 80+ guns with minor gameplay tweaks and other essential mods bundled in.

SMRTR was pretty cool, though hasn't left .45 alpha in years because shit happened.
SGM 2.1 was supposed to be pretty good. 2.2 is shit fetch quests and MMO quests in CS areas that run slowly and game-ending bugs with P90 animations.

Not much else yet. Heard of some good sounding WIPs but haven't seen any of them get beyond announcement stage yet.

I like misery a lot, it IS hard but I like hard games (misery is not as hard as people make it out to be though, unless you are a fucking rookie stalker)

my main dislike with misery is that if you don't have a pretty dam good computer you should not bother installing it because frame rate drops, artifacts and other performance ills will happen if your computer can't handle it.

But everything is brown, not so impressive and boring. What saves it is Atmosfear 3.
Misery just makes things insanely expensive just to look hard, but its not so hard to make a feel bucks with artifacts and mutant parts.
The only real bullshit is that controller on Iron Forest that can drain your life from miles and the Sniper is the only good class to take him out.
Dark Road was one of the best ideas by the devs.
The only truly hard thing is that NPC have higher damage resistance and precision, but yor using the Sniper class its a big problem.

Overall is a good mod if your bored of getting too powerful, like it used to happen on vanilla or another mods. Graphics are bloated and sucks.

I actually installed Misery the other day

+good atmosphere

+some good mechanics like weapon/armor repair, cocaine, etc.

+firefights are really fun

+interesting and diverse squads

+hoard of new items to scavenge/sell

+lots of classic STALKER moments like TWO BLOODSUCKERS 100M FROM STARTING AREA

-class system is gimmicky and restrictive

-everything is too fucking expensive (really the only "artificial difficulty" imo)

-requires a really good pc to run well

-shitty radio music

-helmet overlays (I know some people like them but fuck that)

Eh, I almost think there's too many. When you have a crowbar and a hammer that do the same thing, you only need one. I also don't see the need for three different kinds of MRE's and multiple kinds of gun oil.

I kind of agree. I like the concept, but it could have been better implemented.

This a million times. Ammo should not be 200 rubles a shot, and a package of MRE's shouldn't be five grand.

Yeah, that is subjective. I like them because it encourages you to only wear the helmet when you need it.
