New weapons, attachments like flashlight into weapon. NPC's look like your ordinary stalkers. But players will always have different sets of armor so they are easy to tell apart.

New mutants, this is the hard part right now because we are missing animators, we need good animators for making these new monsters feel more alive. New anomalies, artifacts. And yes, hazards, There are talks about mutated plant life, like spores and fungus. We don't want zone change too much, but we wan't to make it a lot more dangerous. We are also doing these "mindfuck" places, like the oasis on in CoP but more complex. We got a ton of coders and people so we can make complex stuff for quest lines. You still have that good old zone there, but a lot of fresh content.

I am happy to bring a lot "weird" zone stuff from roadside picnic to actual game.

You are able to join any faction in the zone, there will be "fame" or "karma" system too. PDA's are big deal here too. They are used as communication device etc. You can see your fellow players in PDA and map like always, but there is a trick. If you turn your PDA off you can't be seen in the map. You can't receive messages, or alerts like incoming blowout. Some game areas are made like this, because its a zone, it can fuck up your trustworthy PDA, you could get lost or worse.

About the fame system, you gain, and lose depending what missions you do and how you succeed. You gain bad fame if you kill your fellow stalkers and in the end some NPC won't talk to you, or if you had neutral stalkers yesterday. Now you have them as enemies if you turned into their bad side, bandits would welcome you after that, or monolith and so on. Freedom and Duty will always be kinda war torn. Expect new factions too. But stalker has many factions already so no need to think a lot more of those.

How will economy work?

I would love to see a living, breathing system, maybe even overseen by a GM/DM (game master, like in pen and paper roleplaying games like dungeons and dragons)

That way there would be times of essentially famine, rushes to buy when supplies are high, etc…
