So I've heard that a tiny update to the Stalker games just came out recently on Steam and it's breaking mods. Can anyone confirm?

The tiny problem with GOG is that it patched Shadow of Chernobyl to 1.06, and some mods don't jive well with it.

If you try and play it vanilla for example, without ZRP, there's a guaranteed crash that's specific to this patch and you can't get around it.

And then there's Clear Sky, patched to 1.6.10 or something and while that version is the one all mods use, if you want to play CS for the first time, the 1.6.08 patch is much better when it comes to the faction wars.

This is obviously the better option, but for people that fell to the hands of the jew, you can get a DRM free copy on GOG by going to http://www.gog.com/reclaim and entering your steam CD key. I've also posted info on downgrading your game in the Stalker sticky.
