What happens after Return of the Jedi according to YOU?

In my mind, Luke, Leia, and Han live in peace in a golden age for the rest of their lives. Their children might be noble or spoiled, but they never start a conflict of epic proportions.

Of course, everything would think this is "boring" so no one wants it.

We already have a personal canon thread. Anyway Thrawn happens, no Vong (at least not as devastating, and still with occasional trials and adventures here and there while they enjoy a prosperous era where they live long and happy lives where Han never divorced Leia and Luke married Mara and they die old and gray, except for Han who after Leia's death goes off on the biggest final smuggling run of his life that ends in a blaze of glory. Also they still have their original kids. No fucking Rey or Kylo. Just Ben Skywalker and the Solo Kids.

Fuck you Disney.

pretty much this

I like the idea of the vong, another galaxy invading is an interesting idea. The force void isn't a bad idea either, or their organic tech. Its all a good idea. It was just too much… "woah look at this thing! its killing everyone! woops, there goes chewbacca."

The empire fracturates, the rebels gains a footohold, but the majority, or a sizeable part of it, of the galaxy population doesn't want to return the old system. Eventually the empire reform, without a force user as a leader. The galaxy was basically divided in 2, or implodes into a shitton of smaller governments, nobody was the legitimacy or the resources to jumpstart the reunification of the galaxy. Local wars became the rule, the aliens got unchecked, started to act on their own, places like the Hutt space start to act as a fully independent powers.

The Sith are extinct for good, Luke tries to recreate the jedi, this time a non republican order, like wandering do-gooders.

>Emperor, Vader, and Tarkin are all dead

>No immediate clear successor to the throne

>Eventually decide that someone from Palpatine's homeworld should be selected

>Decide upon one of his old political allies and a senator from the Republic Days

>And so, Jar Jar Binks is declared acting Emperor

>Emperor Jar Jar, having friends and allies among the Empire and Rebel Alliance negotiates a peace and reunites the galaxy

>Jar Jar is made Emperor of the Intergalactic Gungan Empire for life

>Imperial Remnant had buillt a third Death Star

>Emperor Jar Jar personally sees fit to destroy it

>Emperor Jar Jar is clumsy

>Technical difficulties

>Accidents occur aboard the third Death Star

>Imperial Center/Coruscant is lost

>In order to prevent any more accidents, Emperor Jar Jar decides to not meddle with the Death Star

>Instead, R2-D2 is connected to the Death Star and placed in full control of the weapon, as well as the entirety of the Empire's security and military technology

One thing is for sure, the heroes of the rebellion don't become old has-been failures that run off and hide after the credits roll in ROTJ. That's what pissed me off the most about TFA, Lukes whole character is about not abandoning his friends and the next movie has him doing exactly that. Han and Leia are two of the toughest fuckers around. Their son having an emo phase shouldn't emotionally cripple them.

Exactly. I love the idea of a mysterious and powerful extragalactic force of hellraisers who create an epic war, but not one that fucks up the setting to the point where it becomes unrecognizable and makes the defeat of the empire look like a bad idea…

This without a doubt. Han and Leia's lives were completely fucked over and Luke became a useless old bag. If they had at least had him get the lightsaber instead of Rey in that stupid snow field, maybe then I wouldn't be as pissed as I am now but still ticked with how they fucked the Solos and made their kid a shittier version of Jaicen who acts like an even bigger brat than teen Anakin.
