From what I've seen of Qui-gon, outside of his relaitonship with Tahl, he doesn't seem to do anything outlandish for a Jedi. He disagrees with the Council, and that's about it. Windu, because of his use of Vaapaad actually skirt closer to the Dark side than I would think is tolerable for a member of the Council.

I'm calling it right now. Ep7 Luke is going to be a what we know as a Gray Jedi.

Reasons why will be in spoilers

Jedi, definitely Jedi.

You might go into things thinking you could save a loved one from a tragic death, or use dark side powers for a greater good, but all that will happen is it'll blind you to your methods to get that power until you wont even recognize yourself in the mirror.

Apart from their puppy kicking evil variations (DEATH! KILL! ANGER!) they are the most logical of the Universe most of the time, I know Thrawn is not a Sith but he and Bane are probably the two smartest motherfuckers in the universe, I'd extend it to Krayt to an EXTENT but the point is Sith seem to be the wisest even beyond that of Jedi. Sure you have Qui Gon and Tholme but then you have Plagueis/Sheev and what not. It's always amused me that people seem to forget tht the only 'DEATH, KILL DESTRUCTION' sith are rarely the masters but usually the apprentices (Darth Maul, who should have been a Dark Jedi, Darth Vader, etc) or Dark Jedi as opposed to actual Sith.
