really don't understand why we couldn't have gotten that live action dark gritty Star Wars tv show they were teasing. Hell I'd love to see one set during the time period of Rebels because they "should" literally have nothing and would have to lie heavily in the shadows to face anything the Empire could sneeze at them

Yeah the Empire's a bunch of swell people when you disregard all the genocide, oppression, and general misery they cause.

Anybody else remember when they blew up that planet in A New Hope? Or how about when the Emperor ordered the murder of a bunch of children? I guess the complete dissolving of all democratic proceedings in exchange for an all powerful ruler is totally cool too. Because damn, ain't that work ethic just fantastic?

according to cuckleen kennedy, some parts of 1313 will still be used, possibly in another show or rebels (expect boba fett to show up eventually).
