Anakin/Vader showing up as a ghost to tell Kylo off would have made more sense than Kylo whining to his helment like a twat. It would have also added some actual depth to Kylo as to why he idolizes Vader so much if they had such an interaction. Stay butthurt though because people are criticizing JJ's shit decisions.

this would have seriously made the movie much better

One of the main characters is black. Black people are afraid of ghosts, even in the Star Wars universe, so the presence of Force ghosts would have been fairly racist.

One of my theories before the release (that would have also explained the lack of Luke in the marketing materials) was that he had already been betrayed and killed by Kylo and would appear in the movie as a force ghost "haunting" him. It would have added a lot to Kylo's conflict.

But every other theory I had that would have made for a half decent plot also amounted to nothing, so fuck it.
