I want to show my younger brother, age 9, the Star Wars movies, cause he was only recently able to read and understand the subtitles in movies (english is not our mother tongue). In what order o you think it's best that he watches them? He hasn't seen any of them, but he does know much about the story through the cartoon show called "Rebels", and loves it.

Spoilers isn't a reason why you should go in the release order.

Simply because the flow of the story is simply better. Also the cinematography and filmmaking evolves in a more pertinent way (for better or worse)

since it's his first time, he needs to watch in release order. even though he knows that vader=anakin, he still needs the emotional impact of the 1980s.

also, considering how the tech of each trilogy improves upon the last, it makes it somewhat harder to go back.

after that, it's fair game to do whatever he wants.
