I saw the new Star Wars movie last week and I cannot remember a line of dialogue from the movie.

I've already forgotten it.

Nothing memorable at all.

Han Solo dies.. but I don't remember why, and it didn't really matter.

 No.11222

It's definitely not worth the insane amount of hype but I still thought it was a decent film.

Yeah it was decent. I sat through it.

But what do I remember about it? Pretty much nothing.

It was kind of nice to see the old characters again, but all that did was evoke the memories of the better movies that I do remember stuff from.

Oh wait.. I remember one line of dialogue.

It' me ,, you might not recognize me with this red arm.

yeah, that was dumb as fuck, and he has his golden arm back at the end of the movie, so it was a complete waste of time.

i'm curious as to what the comic will reveal about it.

I remember Snoke climaxing for no reason.

I remember quite a few parts.

Who gives a shit? Was that pointless piece of dialogue and meaningless costume change just there to shill for comic sales?

Fuck that. I go to a movie for a complete story, I don't want to have buy fracking supplementary reading material in order to enjoy a movie.

>I remember quite a few parts

doesn't name a memorable moment.

Nice try Disney shill. Look at your notes form the corporate office before posting,

If you really want examples I can give them to you.

Pretty much the entire opening sequence with Finn, the blood on his helmet, all that shit.

Rey's inflatable dinner thing

Han's scene where they cut loose the monsters in the Falcon

The bit where Kylo cuts up those computers

the big speech by the general

BB8's thumbs up

Han's death

The battle with the riot shield trooper

When Han takes Chewie's Bowcaster and goes 'I like this'.

Pretty much the entirety of the final lightsaber duel between Finn, Rey, and Kylo.

Is screaming shill just your go-to post or something?

Because I'll just copy people if I read this I'm going to try and remember without reading the thread.

>Kylo Ren stopping that beam, actually the whole first scene. Kind of. Just when Kylo is there.

>Rey puts on that stupid helmet to eat like a weeb putting on a Naruto headband

>UR HANS OHLOE, This is how ship work :^)

>Red Guy in Cantina

>Weird target face guy in cantina

>Motherfucking Teedo the best character of all, riding a mechanical dewback and shit

>Poe and Finn hug

>Kylo spazzing out

>Kylo and Hux looking up to Snoke but nothing specific about it

>My brother and I laughing that Rey must be Kiffar in that saber scene etc

and then there's stuff I've been forced to remember like Han Death and those MaRey Sue Moments. Y'know if you asked me I don't think I could go into detail about any of it. I remember liking Hux but…I don't know why or recall a single line of dialogue.

Obviously the mystery of threepio's red arm completely cripples the plot of the movie, how dare it not be a major focus of the film rather than a comic explanation which doesn't matter anyway because its just a fucking arm

It's bad writing to have meaningless dialogue. In a good story every thing moves the plot forward, even things that appear to be random later have meaning. >>11478

I think I understand why (for me at least) TFA sucks so much.

It is the lazy writing by JJ. Rey doesn't know how to fly a ship? We'll just say that the force guides her. Get Rey in a bad situation with a TIE fighter? We'll just say the force guides her. Need to use hyperdrive in the Falcon without blowing it up? We'll just say the force guides her to pull out the circuit board. Need to get released from the holding cell? We'll just say that the force guides her to use the jedi mind trick. Needs to fight a trained sith fighter? We'll just say the force guides this untrained person.

JJ simply fucked up the movie by being a lazy writer.

Instead of being a mystical power, the force and to a lesser extent, Rey, is just used as a plot device to move the story forward.

The Character Rey could be quite a good character if she was not written as nothing more than a mary-sue. Basically a potentially great character is relegated to that of a plot device to see the old characters. That is nothing less than a waste of a character.

What is JJ going to get her to do in the next movie? Train Luke?

I could write a script that would allow the main plot events to occur and create a rounded character but fuck, to hell with it.
