my only complaint about the battle droids is how their voices changed, i had absolutely no problems with them becoming comic relief, shit was lulz.

although from what i understand, the droids in tpm were B1s, and the droids in aotc/rots/tcw were B2s, so i guess it makes sense that they would be a little different.

The whole clone wars was two corrupt and decadent sides fighting each other with factories. I felt bad for grunts on both sides, but worse for B1 - many times they tried to surrender, but to no avail.

Kind of makes the Clone Wars feel soulless, like nobody actually had any emotional investment.

On that note, given that we've seen entire armies consisting of clones or droids, why does anyone use sentient civilians for soldiers?

They were produced for Sith purposes. Jedi were all too happy to do so, because they thought that the separation of the republic would have been bad.
