Are Deathtroopers still canon?

 No.11953

probally, the zombies is the easiest thing to cash in on

 No.11955

to my knowledge, the virus that created them is canon, but the events of either novel is non-canon.

that is if you're accepting the new canon, which most of us aren't.

holy shit! this is the first time I've ever heard of there being deathtroopers since I never read any of the novels

Turns out there are going to be Death Troopers, just not the ones you know

>That's not the only tidbit the site uncovered though; the article goes on to say that the rumours of stormtroopers in all-black outfits were accurate, adding that they will be referred to as "Death Troopers".

I hope not. They belong on the deepest trash bin you can find in Star Wars, Raxus Prime or Jakku- together with Yuuzhan Vong.

Why would you hate on Death Troopers?

 No.12065

I've never heard of Deathtroopers before, they look pretty cool.

 No.12066

>>12065

After reading into them a little, shit is cool.

I would have been a great book, if the author could have kept fucking Han and Chewy out of it. I don't think EU writers know how big a Galaxy is. One Character can't be fucking involved in every single interesting event in the galaxy.

>See TV Trope's Sci-Fi Writers have no sense of scale.

Considering the original trilogy wasn't set up to be as insanely large as we imagine it to be, certain writers of the Star Wars EU tried to make the galaxy bigger than it already is. While the others tend to make it smaller than it realistically would be.

 No.12129

I'm guessing Han & Chew are the mcs?

 No.12131

>>12129

supporting cast that comes halfway into the book, plot twist being that they're prisoners aboard the derelict star destroyer and conveniently the only ones not infected. the two of them, along with the mc, escape while everyone else is a zambeh.

> the virus that created them is canon, but the events of either novel is non-canon.

How is that possible?

Was the virus not introduced in the book? Was it introduced elsewhere?

 No.12144

>>12131

Alright that sounds cliche as hell.

 No.12147

>>12144

incredibly cliche, but still enjoyable. swg even did an update that had death troopers in it.

 No.12174

>implying they ever were
