So I got done playing the original "The Force Unleashed" for the 360.

>Thoughts on the game?

>Are the novels worth picking up?

>Is the sequel worth playing?

Yes, I know Starkiller is a Mary Sue. And yes, the Rebels cartoon BTFO'd the plot line. Personally, the game seemed a bit shallow at times. The Dark Forces games & KOTOR had much, much deeper gameplay & world building.

Still, the outfits were nice. It was fun to go crazy with force lightning without getting Sith penalized like most SW do. And I liked the idea of Vader trying to be a surrogate father.

But that light side ending…

>"No, don't kill the Emperor! Sure, he's killed all the Jedi and made the galaxy a shithole, but knowing that he's been beaten is punishment enough!"

>This kills the Starkiller.

Its more or less in the same vein as Infamous. Edgy OP edgelord wrecking shit. Appeals to casuals

*cough* Yeah I'd like to call bullshit on Starkiller as a Mary Sue only because I saw The Force Awakens.

Starkiller's strength is in part due to having two force wielding adept jedi parents and because Vader, a powerful force user himself, trained Starkiller with everything he knew.

To be frank, the ending was very flawed. But many assumed that the Emperor was playing him and for good reason. It wasn't the first time he feigned defeat. Also Starkiller had a personality. Something that MaRey Sue lacked.

The Novels I have not read but I heard that they did a better job than the game itself.

Is the sequel worth playing? Yes and no. Honestly you should use your judgement. Despite what fags like IGN say, the story is a lot better than the first game. But there were plotholes, complications, and the game was too short for its own good.

Yet I liked it because 1. Atmosphere. 2. Art style and graphics. 3. Starkiller's personal story about his identity, which isn't explicitly revealed. But there are enough focus points for us to piece together to form our own conclusion.

the comic of 2 is better than the game.

they give more backstory to fett's involvement.

personally, i like both. i've played the wii and pc versions of the games, and gameplay is great on both platforms. the wii version of 1 has different levels, and digs into the background of making the alliance more, but 2 is the same all around.

as the faggot above said, yeah it definitely does cash in on the op gary stu protag, only without the open world setting. still fun games though.

I had a love/hate relationship with the force unleashed.

I loved the fact that I could throw wookies around like ragdolls but hated that freakin star destroyer!!!
