I doubt they could do ST again cause the writers would be too big of cucks/ not understand the point of ST. ST was meant to explore issues and to often make you think. Mainly a niche show but when they did shit they could do it very interestingly and well if they tried. Think a lot of TNG or even DS9 episodes would strike a nerve today especially in regard to shit the governments are pulling in regards to surveillance and also about dangers of multiculturalism (they actually indicate that multiculturalism heavily at times can be a bad thing) In fact the non-autistic side of /pol/ would probably agree with a fair number of points ST makes generally though the autists fail to see the point anyway of ST as they can't see the hidden messages in each show which I found quite ironic
SW has turned into a shitflinging post for normies and SJW's though. Think fact that SW has always been simpler more straightforward and accessible shit means it got it worse as they try to appeal to a wider audience. So you see a lot of token shit that seems out of place.
tl;dr Cause SW is dumber they try to dump stupid token characters in it cause muh multiculturalism. ST is smarter about it which means when they do explore that shit they tend to do it well but nobody watches it cause they are too dumb to get it or they are too autistic to understand it.
