jesus christ, is that really how the film goes?

i don't know if i can take it. like yeah it's the spitting image of a tarantino film but it feels very over-done.

Well, the link to Quentin Tarantino is a bit of a misdirection. It's Tarantino inspired, but in that Tarantino was inspired by the westerns/samurais that themselves inspired Star Wars - what you get is a film th

It had some brilliant moments. Vader's intro was magical, as was whenever Yoda opened his mouth and all that came out was cantonese or the Yoda training montage being done with Space Oddity and shots of the first movie. Others were way too overdone, like using the Kill Bill alarm when Yoda first appears or the fucking use of O Fortuna in the end. The idea with the ending shots was nice too, mixing bits of Luke and Anakin's life, but it was done in a confusing manner; and what the fuck was it with replacing Darth Luke in the cave with the Anakin x Asajj fight from Clone Wars 2d?

i'm watching this, and i find two things

- it brings a greater attention of detail to some of the best scenes in the empire strikes back

- it makes me realize how much quentin tarantino uses music in his movies

- i keep giggling at the choices this guy made (such as pai mei as yoda, the lonely shepherd playing anytime yoda's name is mentioned, etc.)

I just watched it, ending in particular was great and the Hoth part was amazing.
