Disney going forward with Star Wars will never mention the Prequels or promote them. The discussion comes after the fan hatred of the prequels. No more games, movies, comics, or cartoon shows on Clone Wars setting. Only Galactic Civil War and New Trilogy.

 No.9984

>>9982

So that's they end of the prequels. So only Galactic Civil War and the first order shit (which could he cool if they fix the Force Awakens problems)

 No.9987

>>9982

Nobody likes the prequels because it's the popular thing to do.

 No.9988

This makes sense, but at the same time doesn't. Disney bought star wars for a good chunk of change, and the prequels love them or hate them are 50% of the IP. I find it hard to believe the mouse would just ignore them, but if any company has the money to do something like that its disney. In any case, source on this please?

 No.10002

>>9982

Can they ignore it forever? I understand that they want to distance themselves for the force awakens. However eventually they would bring it up because it is Canon. If they hated it so much they probably retcon the prequels. Unless George Lucas sold Star Wars under the pretexts that Prequels be canon.

 No.10010

>>9982

They mention clones in TFA and the Clone Wars cartoons have had plenty of fans, that wouldn't make sense.

Where are you getting this from, OP?

 No.10012

Well, there isn't much sense in mentioning. The Clone Wars was about 50 years before the new movie. So, the Phanton Menace era is about 60, 70 years before.

 No.10020

Honestly I'd like to bury the prequels forever, but at the same time I love the classic EU.

Source?

They mentioned clones in the original movie too.

Nobody likes The Prequels because they're fucking shit movies and anybody who says otherwise is a deluded fanboy or a shitty baby.

The Clone Wars itself is pretty okay, a lot of the media to come out as a result of the prequel trilogy is pretty good, but let's not start saying The Prequels are anything other than garbage just because Force Awakens is a different flavor of shit.

 No.10218

>>9982

>No clones

Fuck them all. Clone Wars and the spinoff material the prequels inspired along with their games were the only thing keeping Star Wars from being completely criticized as shit.

 No.10232

>>10210

but anon, he's right. most people will shit on the prequels and ride on the unaltered ot bandwagon.

 No.10251

>>10232

It's not a bandwagon, it's a genuine distaste for shit films and shit editing to films that were pretty good before Lucas stuck his fetid cock into them.

 No.10256

>>10251

> It's not a bandwagon

Yes, it's. Most hate comes from dumb people who think they are smarter than the average dumb person

 No.10257

Why is Ewan McGregor in EPVII?

>>10070

As stormtroopers?

 No.10259

>>10256

No, it isn't. Most hate comes from them being genuinely terrible movies. With only idiotic fanboys and stupid babies enjoying the films themselves on any actual level outside of setting up the Star Wars universe for some relatively decent spinoff material.

 No.10260

>>10256

Also TFA is ok. Edgy kids just hate it because they genuinely believe it makes them more intelligent. These are the same people who pretend TESB is a near-perfect classic when in fact it doesn't really feel Star Wars-ish (too dark and too grounded on reality) and ANH/ROTJ are better movies

> tfw you just noticed Kylo Ren character mocks the edgy Star Wars fans

 No.10264

>>10259

Yes, it's. They are genuinely fun action-adventures with lot of creativity in them. The hates comes from Gen Xers who suffered devastating butthutt since Lucas aimed the movies at 90's kids instead of the fat fans. Only edgy manchildren and cynical critics disliked these movies, while crying and re-watching TESB for the 40th time.

And nobody sane cares about Star Wars spinoffs. They are designed for autists.

I think Return would be infinitely improved if the beginning was trimmed up a bit and the Ewoks were removed.

>>10264

>Fun

The prequel trilogy is most certainly not that. With boring cinematography, awful muted performances, action sequences that are long, drawn out, boring, and lack any actual consequence, an over reliance on CGI that makes the whole film feel both incredibly dated and fake, and a plot that's not even action or adventure, but instead mostly politics. Not that a focus on politics is bad, but it's definitely not what I'd call fun.

Good job displaying how much of an idiot you are with the entire second half of your post, making sweeping generalizations in an attempt to elevate yourself above those you're arguing against in order to avoid actually having to type up a response that expounds upon why you think or feel the way you do, in addition to being needlessly confrontational for no real reason other than your own fanboy butthurt.

Of course, you're a complete fool, and likely don't feel like reading all of what I just typed, so I'll sum it up for you right here.

You are a fucking moron, the prequels are shit, and you should kiss the business end of a shotgun you blubbering retard.

 No.10277

>>10264

The hate comes from the generally terrible dialogue given to Anakin through all 3 prequels, a high school play tier romance, and actors giving wooden performances from poor direction. On the plus side the prequels have some fantastic action set pieces, world building, character and costume design and the overarching tragedy of a society's descent into tyranny. It's still not enough to save them in most people's minds when what sticks with them is the maximum cringe they feel while enduring the incredibly awkward scenes like the sand conversation.

By fixing you mean redo the whole movie right? BB-8 and Han Solo+Chewie were the only good things in that movie.
