Chronicles of Creation 2 Frog of Justic 03/07/15 (Sat) 05:27:20 a52103 No. 14187
The very fact that you seem unable to out power the Dragonblooded at this moment hits you wholesale. You are not discouraged after all you are not some muscle-bound jock incapable of thinking. Unlike so few normal people in creation you have an education to your name. Combat is not just about physical power but mental dominance also. Smiling as you think back you your previous encounter with the slime beast and that man that you have no desire to preserver the memory of, you try to remember anything that happened that will give you the upper hand. Smiling you recall the power that flowing into you with the act of shaking off you previous abuser and the strength that had flowed into you as you did so. If you could tap into that once more at a critical moment a single action could be a fulcrum for the way in which this fights flow. Calming yourself as you reset your stance. You take a deep breath letting your muscles relax. You had no need to be worried previously and you do not know why you were. This is your families ship, this is not your first fight and you are by no means the spoilt brat Churl claims you to be. Standing still waiting you look directly in Churl's eye radiating a defiance that is almost palpable. Clenching his fists the Dragonblood looks at you with disdain his smug grin sliding from his face. The lack of fear in your gaze seems to physically wound him, so much so that he takes a step back. Is he afraid of you? Still you wait patiently, it feels like months since something has taken place, the stillness is broken now by a roar. Churl full of rage rushes you like a man possessed his fist cocked back an aura of miasmic blue and white swirling about him as he tries to strike you at your core. A)Block (end roll easy will still take some damage) B)Dodge (agi roll medium if successful no damage) C)Trip him as he rushes in (martial arts roll medium if fail. . .) D)Counter strike (martial arts roll hard high risk)

You decide that the best way to deal with this charging opponent who has shown that they have greater physical strength than you is to use that strength against them. Much like a Matador you aim to lead the rampaging Churl forward and then strike when he is off balance to give you an advantage over the armoured man. Still that means facing down his attack until the last possible second, a venture that could possibly end badly but still not your worst option by far.
Churl's gauntleted fist comes towards you wreathed in his destructive aura. Yet you remain confidant and sure of your choice of action. After all no matter how strong his blow is momentum is something that can not be avoided. Just before the impact you shift your weight to the side and kick at the shin of the charging warrior while aiming your hands to strike him on the back. You are both so close to the edge of the ship that you think that there may even be a chance of you pushing him overboard if you can properly utilise his own strength against him. However as your hands touch on Churl's back he turns his head and looks you in the eye with a smirk his body becoming a bonfire of the cataclysmic energy he had demonstrated before. Screaming out in pain, you feel the power rend at you. You body feels like it has been smashed against a cliff by a furious wave and you struggle to breath. After your initial scream you cough water spewing out of your mouth and into the air, as you too are launched skywards.
Dazed by the blow you fight for consciousness as you hit the water.

You splashed down hard on your back. The strike that you were dealt was enough to seen you flying and knock you out, but the impact with the water finishes the job. You eyes grow heavy as you begin to sink your mind hazy and negligent to the fact that these could be your final moments. As you drift down you feel an overwhelming calm take over you, all worry slipping from you mind as you slowly succumb to the depth. Light from the bright sun above gradually fades as you get deeper and deeper. Your limbs grow heavier and you can not help but let out a sigh at the beautiful yet melancholy sights around you.
You are not sure how long you have been sinking for, time has no baring on your addled mind but you can see fish swimming about, returning to this location to investigate what entered their world so dynamically. Each one is a rainbow of colour that flicker and change as the fading light plays of their scales, yet everything in tinged blue, tainted by the deep water that is embracing you. As your eyes finally close you wonder what the great cycle of reincarnation will have in store for your next life.

Your eyes snap open and the calm that was blanketing you is dispelled. Why would you be calm now, you are drowning. Gritting your teeth against the pain in your body you force yourself right way up. You look towards the surface with a small tendril of hope growing in your heart. The only way you could orientate yourself is because luckily you did not sink that far down, you can still see the sun overhead. For a moment you wonder what would of become of you if you had not been so fortunate. Still the swim back up will be a gruelling one. You know your lack air, and your stamina is drained, but you have no choice. It is either overcome this challenge of die.
Slowly you begin to swim back up. Your lungs scream at you hungry for air and your head pounds as your mind is starved of oxygen but you try your best to ignore all that. All that matters is making it back to the surface, back to the boat.

You have had one hell of a pair of days and you will be damned if you are going to top them off by dyeing right now. Even though your dress is heavy with waters, your muscles ache, your body is starved of air and have not slept you continue on. The alternative is to give that smug bastard Churl your life and that to you is unacceptable. The progress to the surface is not fast and with each stroke of your arms or kick of your legs you feel like you are going to pass out once more but you fight on. All around you the underwater world that you have lingered in for far too long begins to loose its prevalent blue tint, becoming lighter and lighter. A reward for your indomitable will to live.
Finally your head breaks the surface, popping up not far from the side of the ship which you exited from so suddenly. You suck down air happily, the pain in your head still tremendous but the pain in your lungs subsides a little. Looking at the vessel that has served as your home so many times you are surprised how big it looks from this angel. You shake your head at the odd though as you tread water, casting it from your mind. The odd realisation in not important right now. What matters is what is happening on board.
Looking at the ship once more you note that you can just about see Churl. He has his back to where you are, and appears to be issuing commands or berating someone in some way. At least it appears as such from his stance and the way he indicates his point with his hands. You can not quiet hear him though over the sound of the surf and all the commotion taking place on the deck.
Due to the many attacks of trade ships by all manner of creatures your Father had the ship make sure to have rope ladders easily accessible to climb on board. This is due to the creatures being able to climb onto the ship easily even before the ladders where placed there, but people thrown overboard being at the mercy of the sea beast. Right now you could climb up behind Churl or you could go up another ladder on the ship. You could even swim round to his vessel as no one has seemed to notice you because of the Dragonblood.

You have seen countless beast crawling up the side of the ship before. From raiders who just act more monster than the humans they are to all sorts of mutated and foul aberrations that the sea feels free to spit forth. The creatures usually have little in common with each other but one thing your remember is they all stay wide spreading themselves out as much as possible so that they can keep close to the side of the ship. Knowing this instead of sticking to climbing on one lader you spread yourself out over two that are side by side. Pulling your body up out of the water at first in harder work than you thought it would be due to the fatigue that has built up in your over this eventful morning but after a single false start you emerge from the sea with naught but a single minor splash as you foot seeks purchase on the lowest rung.
The wood of the ship is surprisingly smooth on your bare arms as you climb upwards at a intentionally slow pace. It appears that when your parents order the cleaning that the crew do not slack at all making sure to de-barnacle the thing as well, something that you would have never noticed before. Saying a silent thank you to the people who have been like an extended family to you in your mind you continue to climb ever upwards until you can look over the side and onto the deck itself.
Looking around it is clear that no one has noticed you re-emergence which you are not sure is fortunate or not given what you are witnessing. Both your Mother and Father are being restrained by soldiers from the other ship and taken inside. Both are fighting against their captors but each is encircled by a number of heavy armed warriors and slowly being ushered into the cabin area together. The rest of the crew is shifting the cargo that has been “requested” and much more onto Churl's ship as well as taking care of the various duties that he captain has ordered them to take part in. Given the amount of boxes and crates being hauled it appears that the Dragonblood no longer just wants supplies but is taking everything and only leaving enough so that you can barely make it back to port. From what you can see it looks like they are preparing to stay in this location for a little while. Probably to look for you once Churl is gone.
Churl himself is still standing with his back to you. He is just out of reach but you feel that if you climbed up on the deck fully he would be close enough for you to grab or strike. A sliver of revulsion fills you as you look upon your tormentor, but you try to brush it aside. You need all your wits to figure out what to do next.

(Strength roll 67vs 02) You slide up on to the deck still staying low to the hard wooden floor of the ship your eyes locked on Churl's throat. Your mind flashes back to what you did to the last man who had the gall to treat you in a way that you deemed less that respectable and smile. Yes, you think to yourself, Bicard could use a friend at the bottom of the sea. Like an assassin you move up on the preoccupied man like a ghost hungry for vengeance. In through your visage is somewhat ghoulish, your wet hair draped about your face and shoulders, your flesh pale from the cold of the sea and your oxygen starvation and your eyes focused most grimly on your target. Churl shouting his order to the crew and gloating over the people who refuse to challenge him does not hear the soft pad oif your wet footsteps as the approach him. But he does halt for a second when a member of the crew by the name of Lug Quash stops in his tracks dropping the barrel he is carrying. A look of abject terror on his face as he staggers back. Reaching out just as Churl looks over his shoulder you can not help but smile murderously as your hands grip onto the back of his neck tightly. All about you a glow begins to grow, susuming your body but most intensely on your hands. You relish the fear in the man's eyes as he chokes out a single strangled cry of dread as you haul him up over your head. It is not the same potency as when you got rid of Bicard, but the same flavour of power thrums through you as you stand proud you prey aloft and helpless. “Good bye.” you say simply as you twist at the hips your body whipping out to throw the pest up and out towards the great blue yonder. Churl hits the water hard, maybe even harder than you did. Still he is a Dragonblood and thus much more likely to be tougher than the average person. As much as you want to revel in your revenge you think that is it best to get a move on while you have freedom from the man. Reaching up to your face you clear it of your wet hair causing it to slap as it is flicked behind your shoulder. You know you do not look your best right now but little can be done about that. Still your presence and actions have appeared to of lent you a clearly undeniable presence. The last of your aura lingering faintly making you seem ethereal as you are bathed in opalescent light. “Lets get this lot back on our ship then!” you call out boisterously to all those who are clearly frozen in shock at your resurgence from the depth and swift action. Still no one moves and in honesty you can not blame them. Dragonbloods rule the world with their unchallengeable might and magical mastery, for you to suddenly toss one like a rag doll shatters the ideology that they had been brought up with since birth. Still you know you can not coddle them. Who know what else could happen while everyone is standing about doing nothing. “Come one then what are you lot waiting for, are you enjoying getting robbed?” You shout with a tint of fury in your voice as you thrust a finger towards Churl's ship. This seems to have the desired affect the crew rushing forward to the other vessel with a roar that rattles your teeth. As they seek to seize back all that has been taken and even more. It is clear that even though these might not be supernatural monsters or empowered demigods fighting a whole squad of armed soldiers is just not a good idea. Franticly you look about for something to aide your situation, after all though you may be skilled in martial arts you feel that parrying the flat of a dozen or so blades at once my cause you to come up short next time you need to count something.
Edging backwards slowly while still scanning the deck you sigh as you see not a single weapon in sight. The only thing on the deck other than yourself and the new opponents are the crew itself. For a moment you completely let this fact glide over you as the armoured warriors fan out, not surrounding you but putting you in a horse like formations each one clearly in reach of the others blade. You shake your head slightly annoyed with yourself, screw that, if they take all your stuff you will die at sea. Raising your fist into the air you shout out a primal and gut wrenching noise drawing attention to yourself. It sets the tone nicely displaying your anger at the situation you are encountering once more.
“Once more we are under attack, but this time it is not monsters it is the people who are supposed to be protecting us.” you say with a clear hint of venom. “I have seen you hold off and push back into the depth spirits, beasts no one should look upon for fear of loosing their mind and hybrids of man and animal to ferocious to be truly real.” As you continue you see some of the crew turning towards you listening. “Are you going to let a bunch of overly entitled sell swords steal the things you have worked so hard to protect and leave you to starve?” you question “Or do you want to be rid of them and maybe find out how much one of those fancy and impractical blades sells for when we reach port?” you finish dropping the hint of great rewards at their feet, because even those who are new to the crew and feel no loyalty to you or anyone on board like money.

Previous feeling of trepidation discarded you rush into the maelstrom with the other members of the crew. The fighting is bloody and fast, you try your best to make an impact but you feel that against the armour of the soldiers even if it is not full plate will limit your fists greatly. That is until you begin your own private little melee with one of them. Dodging around a few of the wide and slow slashes of his blade you stake your time and strike at his neck, where his helm and chest plate meet. You did not think the blow all that spectacular but the sickening crunch of bone that echoes out followed by him falling to the floor proves otherwise.
Looking round to check on who the crew is doing you notice that they are fairing considerably worse. A few of them even lay on the floor holding wounds in a desperate attempt to stop themselves bleeding out. It appears that the soldiers are either lucky as hell or better trained than you previously thought. That or some of the crew just messed up really bad. Still you can not have people on your side dyeing all over the place.

As much as I want to help the wounded, more will likely fall if we don't intervene

Both the crew and the soldiers are fighting each other clumsily. At this time it appears that neither are really inflicting any more wounds on each other. Yet there does seem to be a lot of clattering going on as swords are dropped and people fall over. Sighing to yourself internally you wonder what in the Dragons name is going on, it is like they have suddenly forgotten how to fight. Still you have no opponent at this moment and you wonder what would be the best course of action.
It does not take you long to choose. The garbled cries of pain from the few crew members that have been wounded calls you to actions and you begin to think about what you can possibly do to help. Nothing much comes to mind but you feel it would be best if you got them out of the way at least. One by one you go about picking up the wounded and carrying them to the front of the ship where no fighting is going on. It is difficult and laborious work and you end up covered in your fair share of blood but you are able to move them all after a while.
While ferrying the wounded you hear a few more outcries but they all come from the invading soldiers rather than your companions. It seems that seeing their comrades in arms injured finally stirred them into their regular fighting form and they begin to make short work of the soldiers surrounding them so that they are forced to fight on all sides rather than in many one on one battles. The fighting ends shortly after your large family begins to press the advantage leaving a strew of bodies about the places which are quickly stripped of all their possession which are piled in the centre of the deck.
A) Keep tending to the wounded
B)Search the gear
C)Search for parents
D)Search other ship
E)Suggestions
