If the strength roll had been closer it might have, but a 14 is way too low, even with a +10 bonus from the training. I know people want to be rewarded for high rolls, but I don't see how I can reward this while making sense in context.

I want the rolls to matter for the specific thing they apply to. In this case it means you're better at resisting stuff, but that doesn't matter if your strength is shit. Does that make sense? If your strength roll was 97 you would have been able to easily overpower A'na and likely fuck her any way you wanted. But you rolled a 14.

Alright, from the looks of it the majority is ok with the way I handle rolls, but there's definitely some legitimate critique, and I'll try to make it more transparent how rolls affect your character.

I'm still gonna change the way I handle the resistance rolls that influence the next roll.

Here's why and how:

I made it so that failing the roll gives you a malus on the next roll but winning didn't officially a bonus (it does but I should have told you) and it wasn't evenly balanced.

rolling a 100 means you win (unless you roll a 0 on the next roll) 95 and over gives you + 20 (which is not enough to pass the last strength check) 90 and above gives +10

for failing it's mirrored, witht he exception taht a fail above 10 still gives you - 5 (this makes it slightly unbalanced but I think you guys can handle that).

Before I open the voting again I wanna say something about how I handle crit rolls, since I haven't said it clearly before, which I think caused some of the grievances in this game.

I alway thought that making anything 15 and below or 58 and above "epic" didn't really do the name justice, since that's basically a 30% chance of any given roll to be "epic". I'm gonna break with tradition here and only make a 1 or a 100 an "epic" (or whatever you want to call them) which means will give you massive bonuses during the encounter (almost alway instant win/loss). and a 10 or below/90 or above a "crit" which gives additional effects/bonuses but not as massive as a 100 or a 1.

Exceptions are rolls that already have epically high or low numbers to pass.

Just an idea, but you ran into some flak on this quest because the dominant players and the submissive players were in direct opposition to one another a lot of the time. If you do the Ranma idea, I would suggest that you have a shifting, but hard-coded role. Like Male/Dom > Fem/Sub > Male/Sub > Fem/Dom > Male/Dom, etc. That way, no matter the player, they each know they'll get something they like eventually.

I think having 2 set "modes", one for each gender, is what I'll be going with. I think if you switch personalities too much it might get too chaotic. Though it's not set in stone yet.
