I think that this is very much a remnant of how storytiem started. Originally some of Onyx's games went on for god knows how long without any actual sex because the players kept rolling too good. A lot of peopl (including myself) have really just copied his format and put our own stories to it, rather than being massive fans of non-con sex.

That sounds like it would work prety well, I personaly think you do consentual sex outside of combat prety well a lot of the time in the WiB story. Such as with the dildo store clerk we let fuck us, the post-puppies Mr. and Mrs J scenes where they went to the pet shop and when they tried to dominate V and the cam whoring with Alex. Those are all examples of good lewds that add to the story and the players dont need to worry about missing out on things or negative concequences and can fully enjoy. As you cross the bridge and head into the tunnel, you come into the next room. The room is filled with gray square pillars. As you look around you notice a huge variety of holes, some tiny, some as large as your leg. You grow concerned at the obvious trap, but see no way of disarming them.

It is slightly past, right at, or just before the end of the school year for a lot of people, so many of them could be focusing on exams or coming back to visit family for the summer, so they would be temporarily busy. That's my guess, anyway.

You quickly dart over and slay the fallen Lizalfos without a word. As you withdraw the blade and turn on your remaining opponent, it has gotten to it's feet and stands at guard. It's large scaled feet shift back and forth, putting it in a constant state of bouncing, while cold slitted eyes study you in the eerie orange light of the cavern. A short sword and dinner plate sized shield come up into a rudimentary guard.

Thats alright

You decide to cut the insolent lizard down, darting in with two quick strikes. The beast raises it's shield and the blows ring off the bronze shield, reverberating throughout the volcano. The Lizalfos counters, lunging for a low stab. You drop your shield arm and the short sword bounces off, seeing and opening you push your shield up and under the blade, leaving the lizard warrior open. You bring the pommel of your sword down on the top of its head, the blow stunning it. You cut across and down, rending the ill fated lizard, and leaving it quite dead.
