Jenny struggled with the controls. The Luis was a old tug but that didn't like being treated so rough, but it performed. Jenny turned the nose away from the jungle planet and moved her into a survival able re-entry angle. With all she could do before hitting the atmosphere Jenny checked the ship over.

A rogue metor killed the starboard engine 4 years ago. The emergency system should have woke her up there but fail to, reason unknown. Both cargo units were label "tolet paper" code, which she learned in the Navy, for "too secret for anyone to know about." Surpisingly they were from seperate shippers. The control module was in good control.

The first jolts of the atmosphere reminded Jenny to engage her safety harness. The instruments said the air was breathable. The hull was heating up and Jenny knew that if she made a mistake in the next two minutes she was a dead woman.

The Luis rattled like a bad carnel ride as she plummented to her death. Jenny had to use all her Naval training to control the ship.

Learning about this world right away was the best idea, Jenny thought.

Dropping the makeshift fishing pole Jenny grabbed her weapons purse. Quickly loading the flare gun Jenny readied herself for combat.

The sights on the flare pistol were crude but servicable. Aiming at the monster the stranded pilot pulled the trigger. Nothing happened at first. Just was Jenny was about to open up the flare gun it fired. The old flare inside had misfired and delayed the shot. The river carried away the burning flare.

The Salamander was almost to Jenny.

Jenny then to:

B. Try to get her wrench ready before the Salamander arrives (40+ grab and then 70+, it's a big salamander)

"Nononono no!" A dud round was the last thing Jenny needed. She tossed the unreliable pistol towards the sack of supplies. With the sort of quickness born only from fear Jenny grabbed the heavy wrench.

While Jenny served with the Torpedomen aboard the Hogwarts they taught her the fine art of turning tools into effective make shift weapons. When the Salamander breached the surface and bellowed its war cry it was answered with a pound of hardened steel to its hit.
