The first thing you're aware of is the dull throbbing pain in your head. Feeling a bit nauseous, you open your eyes to reveal yourself seated in a large cavern. It isn't a traditional cavern, however -there's something very deliberate about it. The walls are surprisingly straight and even for something supposedly weathered by time, and even more strangely, the room is illuminated by a series of lanterns, glowing with white light. On the far side of the room, you can see a tunnel extending out of the room, also apparently lit by lanterns. Strangest of all, you suddenly realize, are the two girls to whom you are bound. A thick rope wraps around your waists, but it's tied very loosely and wouldn't be much effort to wiggle loose from. You can see out of the corner of your eye that the other two girls are beginning to awaken as well. You wonder who they are, but first, who are you?

I will say, since I meant to in OP, because of the nature of the game, player response needs to be fairly reliable. Because of this, players will be on a "post clock." If an event requires a response from a specific player, that player will have 24 hours to respond. If they don't respond in that time, it becomes open for anyone to respond in their place.

That would be quicker, but defeat the original point, which was heavy character immersion. There's really no difference between that and a "regular" game with multiple characters.

The two of you respond immediately to the slime’s emergence with your attacks. Mara lands a few punches and kicks, causing the slime to wiggle like jello, doing a little bit of damage, but mostly just irritating the monster. Morgan fires three arrows at the beast in quick succession. The first two bounce off the slime’s gelatinous body, but the third comes with enough force to pierce through whatever organs the gooey mess might have in there, injuring it.

The three of you gather around the fountain. Though it gives off a very creepy vibe, with its lizards standing on their hind legs, looking eerily human, it seems to be more or less an ordinary fountain. The water is murky but appears to be more or less normal water, and nothing appears to be moving in it. There is something, however, moving behind you at a ridiculous speed (97%: EPIC WIN), but Mara manages to somehow sense it and smoothly jump aside as what appears to be a giant tongue shoots right through where she was standing before recoiling back to the shadows along the wall. There’s something there, although you can’t see what.

Mara and Jessica charges into the shadowy corner where this beast has taken up residence while Morgan readies her arrows. The beast’s tongue lashes out again at Mara but she adeptly dodges before leaping at the beast with a flying kick. Jessica’s lantern reveals the beast: a giant, angry looking chameleon, which only gets angrier when Mara’s boot smashes into the side of it’s face. Two of Morgan’s arrows miss but the third hits the chameleon dead in the eye. With a shriek, the beast retreats up the side of the wall before lashing it’s tongue down at Morgan.

It opens into another room, as unremarkable as any, the ceiling covered in pale stalactites, and bent bronze coins scattered all over the floor. There are two exits across the room: the left one, which leads to another tunnel, and the right one, which opens immediately into another room.
As you walk to the center of the room, examining the coins, you don't notice the giant slime monstrosity flop up behind you. The disgusting beast as two slimy tentacles, one which wraps around Morgan's leg, knocking her to the ground on her stomach as it slides up her thigh, while the other does the same to Jessica.

This room has another small pond in it and a crop of rather monstrously sized mushrooms and ferns. Above this area, in the dome-like ceiling are a few small cracks through which sunlight shines through, indicating that you may be getting closer to the surface. On the wall opposite the bond, there seems to be a nice pile of what appear to be skulls, many of them animal. Across the room is an exit in the form of another tunnel, although this one appears to be quite narrow.
