I'm here from /erp/ to try and grab a few more interested parties for a game over there.

I'm looking to DM a game where players make a magical girl, (Though boys and anything inbetween is fine too.) and work with other players to defeat the monsters, climb the tower, and defeat the evil empress. (Yours truly.)

I thought about whether it should actually go here, but I'm looking for a bit more input per player as each player controls an MG, and the group works as a team. (Until some of the mechanics I have in mind get involved.)

All the same, I think some of you here might like the idea, assuming you don't already go to /erp/ as it is.

I was one of the players in Sinclair Estates (>>23057 and >>24554), and it was great fun. I would say don't sweat the rules too much and just try to have fun with the roleplay.

Well, I'm trying to keep the rules as a simple underpinning to writing. The game rules and action decide what happens, and then we provide flavor text.

Read the thread that was still up, good times were had apparently. Maybe I'll join the next chapter?

I'll definitely be posting an update with appropriate eye candy when the game starts.

I'm going to run a beta game tomorrow, go ahead and put your characters in early if you want to help the test-drive.

I figure doing a bit of playing is better than speculating endlessly.

How did you go about coordinating game sessions?

Had some fun with the beta so far, after two active days, the players kind of left guessing when they'd be back.

I'm thinking of doing Daily-check-ins to process turns if everyone moved since the last, making once-a-day the possible minimum turn rate, with more rapid sessions when everyone has time.

For Sinclair Estates, the GM gave us clear direction of when it will start one week in advance. After the first day, it pretty much started at the same time each day. But not everyone was available during the week, so we would have some scheduling at the end of each session since everyone was eager for the next time.

Sadly I did not participate in your demo. It doesn't look bad and I would like to join once you start again. I think you only need to make sure everyone is available for a good chunk of time so you can get them hook for the next session.
