The best way to read this story would be through the threads themselves which should all still be up. Loss galeries should be in there in the threads where relevent. I would personaly rather read from threads rather than the one Doc anyway. Also looks like the loss galeries were posted in the OP of this thread since it was edited.

As you walk about the town, the giant Goron statue continues to dominate your vision. Eventually you decide to investigate. The town has three tiers houses, with a network of ladders and ramps connecting the various floors. As you stare at the statue, you plot out your course.

You agree and hand over five rupees. Tetra pops off the wall and gives a sharp whistle to Tingle, who groggily wakes, and stands. The large dog wags its tail and gives a happy bark in your direction. Tetra begins walking and you follow behind her, occasionally having to shove down Tingle who continually jumps up at you.

"So, the first thing you need to know about the Gorons is that there are no females. They are born of stone, eventually when a Goron gets old enough, he will wake another stone, which becomes a Goron. As a result, most are gay or asexual, and hung like horses. They feed on the dormant rocks of the volcano, ones that can't become Gorons. They don't actually require it to live, they just have the habit like most living things." Tetra starts with a long lesson in Goron anatomy.

" They can walk slowly, and roll like boulders, and are strong beyond men and fairies. Do not anger them, as they can tear you a new one, and would hollow your sweet ass out like an old sock." She finishes and flashes a wicked grin. You begin to get immersed in her words and following her sashaying hips.

"Blink…Blink..are you even looking where you are going" Ravi calls out. You ignore, or perhaps don't hear the fairy as you immerse yourself in the histories and habits of the Gorons as Tetra leads you through the city.

"The only real social structure that we recognize of the Gorons is the public baths. No one is sure why, but they love using the hot springs afforded by the volcano, and anytime they aren't eating, rolling or sleeping, they are usually bathing. Let's take a stop by, I mean they are just lovely. Here we are, isn't it gorgeous? I've been down here several times, but you have to be careful, the spring worms don't bother the Gorons, being made of stone and all, but will do all sorts of terrible things to the unwary adventurer, whoops!" She finishes sticking a leg out.

Your trance ends as her obviously hypnotic speech comes to a close. She has lead you into the rather packed public baths, and you are now falling into the warm waters, crowded with the welcoming squirms of dozens of translucent tentacles.

This option needs more love if its gonna pass (i've already spent my vote) but i want to see where it goes.

Think of it this way: With another person to play with, getting out ourselves will be easier next turn …. or we can fireball two things instead of one. Tetra led us here, remember?

With some luck, your hand finds it's way to the ankle of your betrayer. A single yank sends her flailing in with you. A large splash and playful bark from Tingle accompany her descent.

"Agh, what are you doing you stupid slut!?" She yells floundering in the warm water. Quickly a tentacle wraps itself around her midsection, pulling her to the center. At the same time the one around your ankle has sakes up to your torso, and gives a mighty tug at your Tunic.

With a flash of light, everything changes. The writhing tentacles disappear, and the pair of you plop into the pool of water. The water is warm, and the worms, now microscopic due to the lack of magic in the area, swim around unnoticed and plans of rape unhatched in neural clusters incapable of thought.

(People and enemies will act rationally for a bit)

"Ugh, my head. What, why were we here again?" Tetra asks, dizzy and confused. You quickly explain her betrayal.

"Oh wow, I'm so, so sorry. What go into me? Shit, I feel so bad. Do…do you wanna grab some food, I'm starving and could use a warm fire. I understand if you're a bit wary and don't want to, but I'd like to try to make this up to you." She says, looking like a scolded dog.

You decide to accept her invitation and follow her back into the main section of town. The pair of you enter the nearby tavern and take a place by the fire. Tetra quickly orders for the both of you while you stand near the fire, allowing your clothes to dry. After a short while the bartender comes back with a pie that seems to be made of sand.

"Don't worry, it's edible. It's a cooked form of the rocks from the cavern. It's lost it's " medicinal properties" though " she says with a grin.

"Anyway, I don't know what has been wrong with me the last few times we met. I mean the first time a strumpet like you kind of had some breaking in coming, but the marketplace and my attempt earlier were completely out of hand. " She sighs and takes a drink of water.

"It's just that I don't meet many other adventurers, and while I obviously can't keep much permanent company, I do like hooking up with you from time to time, so I hope I haven't given you the wrong impression. I just really needed some release, and you didn't seem to mind. I was really afraid you might turn me down or not like me. You're kind of big news around here, after the incident with the giant spider queen. God, this sounds so pathetic." She visably winces before continuing.

"Look, here is 100 ruppees for the trouble I've caused. I'll see you on the road. Maybe next time will be consensual." She says with a sheepish grin.

You laugh at the casual way she mentioned publicly assaulting you, but you let it go. It's kind of the way of the world, and it's nice for once for things to turn out okay. You're not sure how to feel right now, both flattered and a bit insulted at the same time. The two years f you move on to move normal conversation.

She explains the statue is a monument of the first Goron, and that there is nothing of note about it. She goes on the explain the collapsed path between here and the lost woods, information you may find useful in the future. She explains a couple of routes to the river as well.

The pair of you eat in relative silence, and then part ways, your new fuck buddy giving and uncharacteristically girly wave as she turns out of sight.

You decide to investigate the secret path that Tetra told you about, heading down the the lowest level, and following the moss from there. As you enter the small cave that begins it, you see the issue. The hole is slightly collapsed by boulders, and is reduced to a thin slit. You take a moment to examine it and think over your choices.

You decide to try to squeeze through, in an effort to save time. As you poke poke head and shoulders through, you feel a shudder in the rock. Panicking with the image of yourself crushed in your head, you scramble through as the small crevice collapsed, sealing the way.

You breath heavily with relief as you look out into the Lost Woods once again. Formerly your home, it seems you're in one of the deepest parts, far from anywhere the other fairy people go. As you exit the small cave, you can hear a waterfall, and notice that you're at the side of a high hill. A fallen log sits in front of you, with a waterfall crashing over it as the river runs below. There are two other paths snaking off down the rocky embankment. The whole place feels enchanting, and you have a feeling that the Oracle of Reason has worn off for now.

The large floating figure gushes out, flying all around you. Clad in nothing but sparse ivy, he seems like he hasn't seen a mortal in a long long time.

I dunno. as far as marks, i'd like to lose the debuffs - Paw Prints can go, because its an auto-lose.

Most of the others involve sidegrades and tradeoffs and are neat thematically.

I could stand to lose perma-heels, because then we could wear magic boots again - and this is zelda, that's important - or get a different mark there that might have some positives to go with the negatives.

So there's room for both, but 8 mana seems like it opens more doors.

Chance to get our original clothes back / put them on later when we get to a save point or back to town.

I kinda liked everything in this thread, it felt like a good flow, so just more in the same vein. Maybe it would be helpful to ask the reverse, is there anything you're thinking of incorporating that you're not sure people may want to see?
