You stop by the shopkeepers in the morning, opening his door just as the sun comes up. On his counter sits a huge metal shield, embossed on it is the Hylian Coat of arms. It’s large enough to cover your entire body easily, and much stronger that the light wooden buckler you have now. The shopkeeper walk from the back of his store with an easy gait.
“Morning Blink.” He says with a yawn “So I found this in the lost woods, and was going to take it up to Hyrule castle to sell, but I figure you’re probably more deserving of it, being such a good neighbor and all.” He finishes.
You pick up the shining shield and add it to your equipment, before heading out to the edge of the forest. As you reach the gate, a gigantic brown owl swoops down, perching on the top of the gate.
“Hoo hoot! Blink… Look up here! I’m the emissary the Dicku tree spoke of. It appears that the time has finally come for you to start your adventure! You will encounter many hardships ahead… most of them will want to rape you. Don't feel discouraged, even during the toughest times! Go straight this way and you will see Hyrule Castle. You will meet a princess there. Here, you should take this, it’s a gift from the princess, in case anything bad happens. You had best hurry, things get pretty crazy on the fields at night! Alright then, I'll see you around! Hoot Hoot Hoot Ho!” It says, slowly spinning its head this way and that. As it finishes It drops something at your feet, before taking off into the sky. You inspect the item it dropped, it appears to be a clay flutes, shaped like a potato, with a trio of golden dicks inlaid in it surface, it feels right in you hands. You place it in your bag and step out onto Hyrule Field.
(Congratulations, you’ve acquired the Cockarina of Time! We will find songs that can be played in and out of combat as the story progresses. If you have an idea for a good song to be re-done or a new one to be added, please post it. Rolls will be required when playing.)

To the north lies the famous Zora river, ripe with fish and kelp, and leads to the home of the Zora, should you be able to swim well enough. To the north east is hyrule castle, the seat of power in the realm. In the center is a large ranch,to the south, Zora river flows into Lake Hylia, with rumors of rare workshops in the area. The the west lies the lands of the Garuedo. To the east north east is Kakarico village, with its famous cemetery, and leading to death mountain, home of the Gorons. You gaze out across the flat plains, ready to start your adventures!
So where to:
A.) Lets follow Kaebora Gaebora's wisdom and head to see the princess
B.) Anon suggestions of any place listed. Not all areas are accessible, but there will at least be an encounter and maybe some loot.

The Scrub panics as you close and fires straight up, you swing your sword across right as the seed comes down, engulfing both of you in thick pink gas. You approach the towering wall that protects the town. A simple wooden bridge acts as an entry to the arguably most powerful city on all of Hyrule. You enter the city, your heeled boots thumping as you enter the giant city, as you see the huge castle in the background. It's getting dark, so you won't have long before you need to sleep. There's a nice traven to the north, and a seedy tavern to the east. You could also try roughing it to save money. You might also be able to take advantage of the darkness.
