Let's create a /strat/ on how to counter Shills, Trolls & Demented or Degenerate Shitposters (STDs)
Right now it is not much more than rule thumb on how to react if your thread has been infested with STDs
This is what i have so far; mostly brainstorming:

How to deal with Shills, Trolls & Demented or Degenerate Shitposters (STDS)

1. Do not feed the Shills, Trolls & Demented or Degenerate Shitposters.
If you remember nothing from this post, remember not to feed them.

1.1 Do not reply to posts that have no serious arguments in them.
Someone who is truly interested in discussing a subject, does not insult people & spew logical fallacies. If a person is not interested in the truth, it makes no sense to debate him.

2 Keep calm
Don't let anyone ruin your peace of mind and your inner tranquility.
Lean back, take a deep breath and remember that it's fun to fight bad guys.
Remain calm think rationally about the subject

2.1 Do not reply to posts that are meant to evoke an emotional response.
You can't have a constructive, rational discussion about things when you are constantly irritated by emotional topics.

3. Do not reply or bump shill threads.
If you must reply to them, use SAGE, but ideally you do not even want
to reply to them, because it increases the likelyhood that someone will reply to you
and thus bump the thread and give the STDS (Shills, Trolls and Demented Shitposters)
a greater platform

4. '''Do not let trolls and shills dominate the conversation.
Press the triangle, report shills & filter trolls

5. Reply to quality posters
Avoid replying to pornography, degenerate art and troll images
By replying you give them attention and it makes it more likely that other
people will notice them.

6. BY THEIR FRUITS YOU SHALL KNOW THEM
Someone who has a different opinion than you is not an STD
You want to hear other opinions and debate them to see if your opinions hold up them
incomplete point

7. Avoid becoming an STD yourself.
