But yeah, it might be worth playing it smart and describing as little as you can get away with – and to stop referring to her as Merril.

Try to think to how the Aliens movies work, where showing as little of the alien as possible was much much scarier.

Describing movements, things left behind, the rattling of chains, shadows lurking. Things around the ship failing mysteriously (like the lights or the soda machine)

Describe things around or caused by the Beast, but not describing the Beast in any detail until it makes a strike - and even then, leave things blurry, confused and deadly.
