It's in Norway, and is easy to access once you get to Stavanger (a major city there). The major benefit of this place is that it's also a tourist attraction, so you can stand on the edge for as long as you like without raising suspicions.

It's instant death upon landing on a rocky slape from at least 250m of falling.

Have you been at a cliff or a height before? I have. The survival instinct can kick in on overdrive when you're standing there, but it won't mean that "you" have changed your mind. Once you leave the cliff you will be suicidal again. The whole point of the pact and handcuffs is that we're helping each other override this instinct, so that when one jumps the rest are doomed.

If someone is uncertain about whether they want to die or not, what are they doing on this site? This isn't r/SuicideWatch.

You got the right idea.

In any case. I never really understood suicide pacts all that much. The only reason I could think of was to make sure that the others died, or that they wouldn't fuck up. But if you're jumping off a cliff, what's the purpose?

It's just extra risk that you're going to get someone try to "save" you.
