Considering Trains seems to be discussed a lot recently in the 'Ask tiny questions here.' sticky and no fag can be bothered to read up to see what others have put i'm starting a train based upon trains. Other questions about vehicular suicide can be asked here too but try keep it on trains as that seems to be what's common at the moment. I will come back regularly to answer any questions.

when do they go the fastest? on straight stretches with no curves? over bridges? the furthest point from 2 stations? in fielded areas?

I can't imagine the speed would be higher on a bridge. No reason for it. Just a straight track but I'm worried about how far ahead they can see. Might work hiding at a spot, see them approach and lie down ahead when it's too late for them to break (because it takes a long ass time).

Have you tried checking out the area in Google Maps? I did for my region, and you can see there's bushes and trees and shit around. And there's also a crossing for cars on the track, and if you put the Streetview car on it it's easy to see where you can go to just camp out in the bushes. And then just go there yourself, wait to jump into the shrubs when no cars are coming, then just sit and wait until you hear the train then hop out and put your neck on the line.

Fucking sucks that for me it's a 2:30 hour walk away from the nearest tracks, and I've got no car and don't want to fuck around with a bus.

OP here. Sorry i'm late.

Realistically depending on where you are a straight going into a tunnel is when they go fastest.

Hiding spot would be a dark tunnel. I have the perfect spot where I am in which there's a dark tunnel takes the train around 10 seconds to get through. They'll never see me at all.

Geez man, 2:30hour walk? You live in the country side i'm guessing. i'd invest in a car or even a shitty bike just to get you there. The bike would make a good excuse to be near the tracks just say you've biked a while and need a rest if someone asks. Doubtful they will but good excuse. (Good idea on the google maps thought. I never thought of doing that I already know where I can do it now though but it would've been a nice idea a while back so I could find a good spot)

I'll try get active more to answer questions. Ofcourse the board is slow but i'll come by to check for replies.

I know where a train yard is and can reach tracks. It seems like laying neck across the track like in OP's pic would work well even at low speeds due to the trains momentum not giving a damn about anything.

The real fucking issue now is that the train's front bumper is too high. Therefore it hits your head and knocks it flying away before the wheels can make contact with your neck and begin slicing through. And you usually can't really estimate the distance from far away, unless it's some weird super tall train, so you have no way of knowing without putting your actual head on the tracks and waiting, and that doubt and fear might convince you to pull away and then you're fucked. Maybe instead, what if you lie like head first, like on your stomach so the crown of your head hits the train first, that should break your brain/skull, right? Or maybe lift your head up at the last second if you feel that the train is too high, so it either disconnects your head from your neck or knocks you out into death? Just gotta make sure you have enough time to position yourself on the tracks, but don't go on them too early so that the driver won't have time to start breaking enough to create a non-lethal impact.
