I have a Browning Challenger 22lr pistol. Is this enough to penetrate my skull (either penetrating up from my mouth or from the side through my temple)? I've read stories about people dying from 22lr rounds, but also people trying to commit suicide and failing even after several shots.

So do y'all think a 22lr round from a pistol is enough for suicide?

probably not. 22lr is very weak and so is that pistol. i think ive seen a video of someone failing to commit suicide using that pistol, it was kind of creepy.

and, a quicker less painful method of suicide by gun is through the back of your head, not your temple

You might guarantee your death if you shoot yourself in an artery, like the jugular or something. Otherwise, I wouldn't take the risk of trying to die via .22 to the head. Like you, I've heard far too many stories of people filling their skull with multiple rounds before giving up and going to hospital.

Probably won't do the job. I heard a story about a guy surviving a point blank 22 to the back of the head. It was a mob hit.

The bullet didn't penetrate his skull, but it did tear up his scalp and make him bleed a lot and knocked him out so they thought he was dead.

Nothing is worse than failed suicide attempt. It's either very embarrassing because people get involved or very depressing because no one notices at all.
