Hanging has multiple forms, the one i'm talking about, drop hanging is instantaneous. You fall for a certain height, depending on your weight, and that momentum then breaks your neck when you come to an abrupt stop because of the rope.

It's debateable wether or not you'd feel it, since it's only for a split second for both, but i'd rather go with breaking my neck cleanly over having my skull being ripped apart. It just seems less painful.

Theres also the issue of the mess you leave behind. The least you can do when you kill yourself is do it cleanly and somewhere where you won't traumatise some poor kid for life.

I just don't understand why you'd go through so much effort, traveling to another country, then figuring out how to get a firearm + ammo when you could do it in a much more efficient, clean and arguably less painfull way.

But hey, do what you want. If you want to blow your brains out and give a big fuck you to everyone else then be my guest.

if you even manage to make a proper noose, and you're lucky, your neck will break, but it'll take a while for you to actually die. public hangings were performed in such a way to break the neck so the people wouldn't flail around, but the break itself did NOT kill them, usually. apparently it's an excruciating way to go.

ligature or partial hanging are far superior and have a high success rate. these methods, if performed correctly, put sufficient pressure on the major veins and arteries going from/to the head but not enough to cut off the windpipe (so you pass out and ultimately die of lack of blood to the head). of course, there will be discomfort, but not the agony of having your windpipe crushed.

Well if you're talking about drop hanging than you can throw easier out to because to make a proper gallows and do the math properly so you snap your neck but don't rip off your head would take a lot more time and effort than going on vacation and killing yourself. Plus drop hanging is not painless or fast you still hang living for 30seconds to 2minutes the only reason people thought that was because if done properly it snaps your neck and completely severs your spinal cord at one of the top vertebra so you can't move any part of your body except maybe the eyes and mouth. But you can still feel phantom pains way worse than the actual pain you would feel from a normal hanging by strangulation because the fear of death mixed with the inability to move the brain just goes into panic mode and makes you try to fix whatever's wrong by making it uncomfortable for you.

I've read about failed suspended hangings, almost all people would've passed out in under 10 seconds (they said so and it would've been from carotid artery restriction) and they said it was relatively painless and only failed because the rope broke, what they tied it to was weak or they were found by someone, etc. Read up on carotid artery restriction in hanging, otherwise buy some fentanyl?
