Here's one I saw recently. Sad story:
A New Hampshire man shot his wife dead in hospital early Tuesday morning before turning the gun on himself, minutes after posting to Facebook that he was trying to help his sick spouse 'escape' from life on a respirator.

How come you never see individual suicides in the news that aren't celebrities? It goes against journalistic ethics because they're afraid of copycat suicide right? Or is it because it's so common that it's not really noteworthy, like car crashes
It does give people the illusion that suicide is the super rare insane thing but actually happens all the time and we just don't hear about it huh

Makes me wonder how many people would kill themselves if they had the means to do it safely and quickly.

I'm glad guns are widespread in American society. People should absolutely have the right to an easy and painless method, but I fucking despise at how many people use it to kill other people with them.
I wish there was a near-perfect method and near instantaneous method that requires extremely little prep time that you can kill yourself with, but extremely hard to murder with.

I can understand it if the other person was also suicidal and was perfectly okay with being killed, but shooting up a school or something is a shitty thing to do. If you really want to get back at someone, blame them in your suicide note. If the have even a spark of human decency left, they'll feel like shit for years afterward. Even if they're a sociopath and not bothered in the slightest, other people will ostracize them.
