So what's drowning like?

d4070c No.6231

It sucks. Your body goes into shock.

I work as a lifeguard.
It sucks, a lot.

Almost drowning was the most painful experience of my life, don't do it.

It's slow and agonizing.

You probably have some romantic idea of it being tranquil, peacful or some shit. You're wrong.

I would honestly stab myself to death long before drowning was even considered.

everyone says that drowning is horrible but im someone with experience from it and it is not that bad, when i was a kid i fell in a pool and did not knew (and i still dont know) how to swim so i just sank to the bottom and spent a while there and i just could not a feel a single thing,no pain at all.to my misfortune,a asshole saved me,i wish i had a pool or a good river near me,i would try again.

Well I always heard that it hurt at first but then long before you actually croak, your body does end up in a sort of tranquil state. Why is this not true?

Because the "at first" part lasts a really long time.

Each gasp of air you manage to get prolongs it, and believe me your whole body will be in revolt trying to save itself.

While you feel the urge to breath within 2-3 mins of stopping breathing (significantly shorter if struggling) you won't actually pass out until long after that. And then each gasp resets the timer, but not the pain. Furthermore during the whole experience your perception of time is skewed, as everything was slower. 10 seconds minutes to pass.

If you're going to do it then you'll want to do something that completely traps you beneath the surface with no get-out mechanism. Like handcuffing yourself to something down below.

If you do handcuff yourself then expect to break some bones trying to pull out of them. You'll feel the pain but it doesn't stop you acting as it normally would, you'll use every trick you know to crush your hand/wrist bones in the hope of escaping.

If there is something sharp on you then you're gonna have a bad time.

I know it seems that you can simply decide not to, but you can't. You'll be flooded with an undeniable NEED to survive that you can't do shit about.

A knife between ones ribs into the heart could be inserted before the pain kicked in. There's also pain to deal with here, but not the mental aspect of the struggle.

So is there any other way to asphyxiate that doesn't involve complex shit?

Can't hang myself either because I'm too damn heavy.

Hanging shouldn't asphyxiate you unless you really fuck it up (everyone does)

Being heavy helps because it puts more pressure on the carotid artery and vagal nerve in a short-drop hanging, and makes it more likely you'll be knocked out in a long-drop hanging.

The key thing is to position the knot correctly and get the right fall distance.

I think I'm way too heavy for any conventional rope to support me…

m8 ropes aren't new technology, they can hold fucking boats with ease.

Just check the max. weight the rope is rated for and ensure it's 3-4x your weight.

If you're fat you don't want a partial suspension, short drop or standard drop since they rely on constriction of the vagus nerve/carotid artery. Do a real long drop hanging, with the knot behind your left ear.

The distance is the distance you'll fall before the rope goes taught, not the distance from you to the floor. Use a bridge or something at 0300.

forgot to finish that sentence, the standard drop hanging relies on knocking you out.

000000 No.9540

Drowning is painful, though not that slow, I'd certainly not recommend drowning.

You're better off hanging yourself, shooting yourself, or maybe ligature strangulation.

Stop bumping dead threads you fucking retard, go kill yourself.

I'm just bumping the threads that are on-topic, informative. Though this thread kind of sucks.

All you are doing is killing what little community this board has by flushing away the current threads that people are participating in. Please just leave, you are not helping.

000000 No.9548

>>9547

This is was not at all my intention, I really want this to be a good suicide (method) board. There were just too many off-topic, shitposting, pseudo-method threads on this board.

Just go to the catalog, and filter on creation date. When I came back here 1 week ago, there was just so much crap on here, still is.

Though I shouldn't have bumped the old / dead boards, my fault anon. I'm sorry.

000000 No.9549

>>9547

Anyway, I won't bumb again, though if you want you can re-bumb the newer threads again.

>I'm a newb to chan-culture, should've saged some reactions apparently.
