Got two of the last balloon time tanks filled with pure helium up in my room ready to go. Anyone who's been planning their suicide for the past year or more should have seen this coming with all the hullabaloo about the helium shortage. No worries though, you can still go to your local gas supplier and get it.

I thought it was pretty hard to get gases like helium outside of the balloon time, consumer grade tanks.

All the times I've looked online the only places that seem to be selling it are those who sell to businesses. Like you need a business license and shit to purchase the gas.

About as equally obtainable as pure Helium at this point. Or Argon or other common, nonreactive gas. I've been looking it up and it seems that you cannot actually buy large cylinders but you can rent them from certain places.

But nothing as convenient as walking into a party supply store and buying a disposable cannister that you actually own.

how much should the helium be pure to kill yourself?

i found a local shops that can sell me a tank of 98%-99% helium, is that enough?

If you're outside of the US/CA, and you don't have access to a welding supply store in your country, I'm afraid you'll have to look to other methods for a painless suicide.

However, if you're not a yank and your passport is up to date (like most non-yanks), and you don't mind a jaunt across the pond, then you should have no problem getting ahold of pentobarbital/nembutal in Peru. They have been adding oxygen to disposable helium tanks for a long time now. You can still buy pure helium from industrial suppliers but you need a buy a tank or rent. You also need a regulator since the pressure is too high.

I would rather just use propane at this point now.

You can get propane without oderants added from petrochemical suppliers. It's also sold at AC shops as R-290 which is pure propane without any extras.

Propane has no natural smell and is a clean and efficient way to die I tell you what.

I can't say for sure but it seems as if there are still some pure ones out there? Helium is running out so it makes sense they start limiting it for stuff like this, especially since they have become very popular in suicides.

Look around and ask around for pure helium (or whatever), perhaps if you say you wanted it for a science experiment and it must be pure you'd have better luck?

Yes there is a risk of that happening but it depends how early or how late you fail. If you fail or puss out early nothing bad happens but if you pass too much time with low oxygen in your brain and fail, get "saved" or puss out too late you can suffer brain damage ranging from memory loss to going full potato.

At least that's what I have seen written in the internet, if you want to try it I think you should go ahead since there is no 100% failsafe method in this world but make sure your helium is pure, set the right release pressure(too high will fuck your lungs), make sure your mask is tight and will not fall off your face or leave an opening which the gas can escape and allow air to flow in, make sure no one will interrupt you and the most important: be sure that you truly are ready to die.

How much do you need helium? Answer in liters preferably.

It's not just about the size of the tank (the smallest tank should work) but also if you regulate the flow properly to last until you are brain dead.

Fuck… I wonder if this has already progressed to the Australian supplier I bought my balloon time tanks from. Is it required to say it is mixed with air on the box? Because it says so nowhere on mine.

Also related, I've been looking for gas flow regulators that attach to the Balloon Time tanks connector to set the flow rate to 15lpm but I can't figure out how to do it. Can anyone offer advice?

I'm sort of scared to try without a gas flow regulator. The Final Exit book makes no mention of them. But the Peacefull Pill handbook stresses the need for one. The instructions however are not helpful at all. I don't want to suffer permanent brain damage. I don't see how I can possibly set the right flow rate by just guessing.

For example does anyone know if any of these helium regulators would fit a standard balloon time helium tank?

What sort of percentage should I be looking for in tanks? What sort of mask or bag should I use? Do I need a flow regulator and if so which one would suffice, any? Also what tubing and tape or clamps should I use?

Would any businessman ever unapologetically take up selling pure helium tanks across the USA or even ship internationally and dismiss any complaints of suicides? -or rather would they get away with it? Not that there's much business in something that almost guarantees no repeat customers or anything.
