you can't OP, but don't think that much about people, sure they will be sad for some time, but they will slowly forget and move on.

Especially if you leave some nice note, maybye try to write some nice memories you have, tell them it's not their fault and that you will be happier like this

You will always hurt some people when you off yourself, but at the same time living ONLY not to hurt your close ones is much worse (even for them, because they will see how you go deeper and deeper into a depression)

I wouldn't bother. My aunt killed herself 3 months ago. I think my mom is largely over it, I never checked with her other family members. I was considering suicide at the same time though so my only real response was good for her. People are going to be hurt for a little bit, if you're truly worried about it then ensure your note leaves no room for them to blame themselves or become guilty over your death.
