It's their own hobby and they don't even understand that the collapse already happened many years ago. What we're seeing is the aftermath of the collapse. Poor sales aren't going to make the big two decide not to hire women. A global discrediting of the female gender is what it would take, which isn't going to happen. Comics are a dead medium. That's already happened, so there's no saving it from prior events. It's like saving tumblr from being the capital of social justice psychopaths. You're not going to prevent it, so it's time to take the next step, which involves first accepting what's already happened, and then moving on from there.
