Hey everyone. I just felt like contributing with something to the internet for once and now since I've now got 100/100 connection this seems like the right time to do so.What I've got here is a fuckhuge collection of books (most of them are pdf) as well as infographs and some other shit.
This library as I suppose one can call it is comprised of many smaller libraries. I think the computer stuff comes from the installgentoo library, but as for the other libraries I am not so sure.
So if you already have some library rip downloaded then you might have to check for dupes.
I have personally attempted the daunting task of organizing all the stuff and merging the stuff into single easy to find categories.
What I did was to merge two torrents which contained different library rips and then I tried to divide stuff into some kind of generalized categories, which in turn contained smaller subcategories.
But due to my lack of knowledge on some subjects, as well as lack of time I didn't fully complete the organization process. It may look like shit now, but it was more of a fractured mess before.
I haven't added much to the library apart from some epub books (sadly the only ones in the entire library), as well as some music and videogame charts.
I hope you will appreciate this and have some kind of use for it. Maybe you could just hoard it in case the internet dissappears forever.

I currently use Deluge, since it's got a nice client-server model and a decent Web UI and basically does everything I'd need.
However, it's not perfect (lack of IPv6 support, project is on life support mode, banned from What.CD due to being ungodly inefficient, etc), and so I'm looking for alternatives.
qBittorrent and rTorrent seem to be the only ones on the same level as Deluge, but qBittorrent doesn't have an equivalent to Deluge's "non-classic" (client-server) model, so it's straight out. That leaves me with just rTorrent.
But when trying to find a web UI for this, every single one seems to depend on this "SCGI" thing, which is not supported by my webserver (Hiawatha). It would not make any sense to switch to a more bloated web server to facilitate switching to a less bloated torrent client, so… are there any web interfaces for rTorrent that are written in pure PHP (or that are set up as self-contained HTTP daemons like deluge-web)?

Then after I paused the torrent I exited my VPN then about 3 seconds later I closed the qtorrent client. People have told me that this would have exposed my IP to the swarm and opening me up to DMCA notifications and what not. IS this likely and how long do these notifications take to show up?

Yeah, I originally thought I grabbed the real deal. It was all bullshit data - a bunch of broken-up CSV files made up of patterns of names and data mixed together. What tipped me off to the fake was a lack of Gmail addresses - in all the gigabytes of data. In fact, none of the addresses were even valid domains.
This one, on the other hand… juicy as hell. Tons of fun. Taking hours to import into a fresh (and tweaked) MySQL server to play with - and that's just the 438MB (1.6GB extracted) email database.
Downloading smallest archive and opening to verify authenticity now. Folder structure matches that of deep web files, so looks legit on the surface. File sizes match to a T as well.
Legally you're pretty screwed if LEO finds this on your computer, at least in a non-3rd-world country. Having a pirated copy of Ghostbusters is one thing, having the stolen personal info of 30 million people is a different category.
And as others have said, for the bulk of bad people, others are going to get swept up too. Folks who had open relationships, people with kinky stuff, etc.

How to Disable Ads in utorrent
uTorrent is a great app, but it can be annoying to have ads on your desktop apps. Fortunately, these can be disabled in the Advanced settings.
To turn off ads and offers, open Options > Preferences > Advanced. Here you'll find a large list of flags for the app and a filter box. Search for and disable/false the following flags:
offers.left_rail_offer_enabled/left_rail_offer
gui.show_plus_upsell
offers.sponsored_torrent_offer_enabled/sponsored_torrent_offer_enabled
bt.enable_pulse
gui.show_notorrents_node
offers.content_offer_autoexec

Yeah, I know it's about torrents, but this is closely related.Do any of you guys use Usenet for binz (why else would you)? Is there same amount of content there? How about non-English language content?
I want a Usenet provider with a web interface so I can download via a simple HTTP/SOCKS proxy, and I know there are two seemingly decent providers, but the only payment option I see is with the credit card, which is kinda way too revealing. Is there somewhere I can buy a prepaid anon card online with, say bitcoins? Or is there another way to pay to a web-enabled Usenet provider anonymously?

Some time ago, I did an experiment on how small I can make all pirate bay while keeping the important information. People apparently liked it and it got way more popular than I expected.
Well, now some months later, I wanted to do two things - first, make it even smaller and correct all the mistakes I did before. Second - I wanted to create another version that will have all the additional metadata - most importantly, all the comments and text information. For me, pirate bay is not just the torrents, but mainly the additional information - how fake is the file? What can I really expect inside?
So I did both.
The "smaller" file is for download here (magnet) - it has 76 MB 7zipped and it really has just names and magnet links.

What are you on? What do you think of them?I'm on what.cd and btn. I was on PTP but got banned, I've been on the PTP IRC for hours on different days but the admins are literally never there.
what.cd and btn are great because getting good quality shit from public trackers is a pain in the ass. PTP are tightasses about invites and the site is good but unless you're interested in some really niche or old movies, its a waste of time.
