Suggestions
Hi,Okay tea folk. We know that it all starts with the best water. So lets get down to business and discuss the best bottled water for tea.
My personal picks, what I have tried.
1.Chippewa Springs - A This is the best water for brewing tea I have found.
2. Nestle Pure Life - A- , This cheap water is surprisingly good for brewing tea. I suspect because its from Nestle that it is formulated for coffee & tea
3. Ice Mountain - B- or C+, It works okay. For expensive green tea this water starts to suck. But there are worse. For black tea maybe I don't notice
4. Evian - B This makes good tea. But damn thats expensive ass water. Also you know how this water is high in silica, so it has that unique mouth- feel. It makes good tea, but the tea still tastes like you are drinking Evian so its a bit distracting in my opinion.
5. Fiji Have not tried this brewing tea with this water. Need /tea/ special ops to confirm.
6. Deja-Blue D- This water sucks to make tea with.Brew green tea with this water & the taste and color is all off. Barf.
7. Glenwood Englewood . D This water is also horrible to brew tea with. Mineral content from hell. It also sucks just to drink plain. Barf.
8. Buhl Brand water. C- , This water tastes okay by itself but also makes crappy green tea. Color wrong, taste wrong. Probably work for black.
9. Buffalo Bon's water C- Again this water tastes okay by itself but does not make good green tea. color off, taste off. Will work for black.
What other water have people tried ???
Current lustings
Hello, /tea/! Found your board because your owner shilled around. What are you currently lusting after?Chinese Farming and Regulations
i usually follow a rule where i dont put anything in my body thats from china. they tend to have lousy regulations over there, and even though something may be certified as organic, some things contain lead or other contaminants in some studies years back.
i recently came across this royal king organic black tea. im not sure if i should be drinking it though, id like to protect what few brain cells i have left. but i fuckin love tea.
what are your thoughts on such matters, /tea/?
Anyone have experience blending their own teas?
I want to make a tea that is reminiscent of liquorice, but all the pre-mixed ones I've tried have liquorice root in it. This results in hideous, dirty dishwater tasting tea.
Instead I just want fennel + anise + black. Any tips for amounts?
Anybody have some good tea "recipes"?
The morning delight.
Hey /tea/sers. What kind of tea do you brew when you get up in the morning? I always brew some straight black tea (preferably assam or ceylon) and add a dash of milk.
Pic is from wiki's page about tea. It's a russian empire tea-weighing station from before 1915.
You Can Order Custom Tea

I just got a super delicious oolong + pu'erh with coffee beans and marshmallows.
>order about 1.5 kg of tea from yunnansourcing
>my first bigger tea order from china
>package gets opened at import customs
>there's no invoice in it
>they send me a letter asking for it
>gonna have to pay tax on that shit
>oh well, be a good goy and send them the invoice
>"well, that's that. at least nothing bad happened to my tea during transpor-"
>suddenly I recall reading stories about customs people literally cutting open the mylar bags with tea and then just throwing them back in the box

Hello /tea/
Hello, /tea/. I just wanted to let you know that I'm the new board owner of >>>/kind/, and I'd appreciate it if you'd take the time to drop in and say hello. It's not really devoted to the discussion of topics pertaining to the culinary arts or tea in particular , but I think kindness is or should be a virtue valued by all, irrespective of our interests or hobbies!
Partnership
I was searching for boards to bump, and, I know this is going to sound crazy, but I think we should form an alliance withGLORIA LUX BRITANNIA
Hello >>>/tea/Lapsang Souchong
Finally got around to ordering some Lapsang Souchong. I've always wanted to try it because I love all things smoky. The brand is Talors of Harrogate, and the reviews seem good enough, but I was wondering if there was a more preferred brand out there.Fermented Tea
There is a board for jun and kombucha, for anyone who came here looking for that./coffee/ faggots
