Drycuck used to run 8chan's archive but then started up dramas and ended up handing it over to ColdRims™. He realized he wouldn't be able to monetize it (or advertise his other flop projects such as mixtape on it) after trying to make the goobers his personal army and then trowing a tantrum when thy didn't do as he pleased.

ColdRims ended up doing nothing with it since 8chan started shitting itself by that time and now he's too busy playing with emotes to care.

Yea but why divide it into this many websites and dilute the traffic? Since people can't actually register an account on it they end up not returning so I don't think he makes any substantial amount with the ads. They also archive the cp posts but can still be found on google which means their traffic is so tiny nobody bothered to report it.

Considering the guy proudly put it on his resume, I'd say he's pretending to be a guy who built a successful web community and forum architecture. If he just wanted to scrape 8chan like an affiliate blog, he'd just leave the names/IDs intact and not pretend like it's a forum.

The original archive worked fine, but it was wonky with multiple files and files other than images.

I think 8archive.moe saved the full images and files instead of just the thumbnails or redirecting to a 404'd thread. But for space, that might be asking too much.

basically everything that foolfuuka has, but supporting 8chan's multifiles

from what I can tell the reason why we had to scrap the old archive was because it ran off a foolfuuka clone that had a ton of hacks done to it to make it support 8chan but had some bugs that proved to be impossible to fix and ultimately wasn't going to cut it
