Is there a way to circumvent the tyranny of modern ISPs and become your own? I don't care if it's dial-up. Every time I've read about becoming an ISP it always involves signing contracts with the big guys.

They're essentially the ISP equivalent of Cryptostorm. An economical service not run by Jews (unlike Comcast), who fully disclose their data retention and related practices to the customer. They only keep logs for up to 2 weeks.

2 weeks! They're a legally operating ISP in the US!
