Hotwheels has fucked up so many times that he doesn't want to work on the site anymore.

He fucked up by approving the board_stats change without even reading the pull request or understanding how the tables worked (you wouldn't want to prune it on every query, either.)

Then he fucked up by burning the bridge with Josh, so now it's practically another STI situation where he's on his own for support.

Lynxchan is fundamentally broken. Multiple threads have pointed out why lynx is a fucking retard. He doesn't even have 8chan-tier volunteers, for example, and the mod panel is garbage. This is aside from the fact that how he's storing threads is unsafe to use even on one maching, let alone with multiple "sharded" workers.

His queue/IPC is a really fucking bad idea, it'll be a big bottleneck.

lynxchan has a very naive implementation and gridfs was a bad design choice. Regardless that there are many low traffic lynxchan instances and they all suffer the predicted problems even at the level of load they carry now.
