>CentOS

>Mint

>Debian

>Fedora

>Some *BSD crap

Anyone here running a home server with any of the systems mentioned?

Which would be best suited for the task?

Why Mint as opposed to vanilla Ubuntu? Are you going to be using the GUI?

I'm running a headless CentOS server, werks bretty gud for my uses (seedbox, file sharing, mumble)

I honestly don't really think it matters but I would go for a minimal distro for a home server personally so no GUI or any stuff that will waste RAM or disk space.

I'm sure Gentoo would work great actually

Also running CentOS, it's great.

Best OS I ever used on a server.

Get AntiX. It's just debian-testing with a bunch of ultra light desktop environments and systemd removed out of the box. Trisquel-mini is the only other OS that comes close. Mint is gay, CentOS is for grandpa, plain Debian is just cucked AntiX, Fedora is bleeding edge fags who fap to instability, and BSD is hipster fags with <1% of the market share, as is compile-it-yourself bullshit from Gentoo.

What made you choose CentOS over debian?

>also dat eerily similar uptime

 No.547720

CentOS.

Is the only one focused on being a server distro from all these.

Mint is focused on desktops, debian is shit, fedora is RHEL with desktop bloat.

lol bsd
