Fuck the previous board announcement about this not being a /tech/ replacement. This is a declaration of war.

What is /tech2/'s opinion of net neutrality? Not a shill, I just really want to know.

 No.23

I don't know. I can't even figure out what it's about thanks to all the shitposting in net neutrality threads.

Well, basically its the concept that all bits are equal with total disregard as to what those bits are used for. Your VOIP call gets treated the same as a torrent download. Because of this I think that it is a bad idea.

>your ISP should be able to spy on you to charge you more for torrenting

Its not rising to the level of spying if there is nothing other than traffic routing and that is it. If the ISP can route traffic intelligently by recognozing that you are transferring a file as oppossed to making a VOIP call, there is nothing wrong with that.

You route traffic to it's destination. It doesn't matter what you're sending to it.

Net neutrality is good. It means ISPs can't hold your speeds hostage and charge you 50 dollars extra a month for "premium access" among other things.

There's already been fines for ISPs that have broken their contracts or lied to consumers.

Are there still pages of the net neutrality deal that are unreleased?

I understand that people don't want to get their internet shafted in favor of le mobile, none of us do, but liking a law you can't read, especially in a climate of government espionage, seems silly.

Per my understanding, a good portion of it is still super sekret

can you like, try to provide a source on it so that you realize that you're wrong?
