Board discussion thread
In creating this board, our aim was to try to rekindle the 'old /g/' for which we still have a lot of nostalgia.

More specifically, we aim to create a board where ironic anime funposting isn't immediately met with a chorus of autistic crybabies and unironic consumerist shitposting is rightfully looked down upon.

However, ultimately it's you the users, not us, who can make this board a success. So we would ask you:

What would you like this board to become? What kinds of policies or rules do you think would help to develop it into the type of community you'd like to see?

Personally, I'm quite sympathetic to a lot of the suggestions that were given (and rejected) in the equivalent of this thread on /tech/.

To name some:

Mobile device threads usually degenerate into cancer. They tend to be magnets for casuals whose minimal technological understanding and rabid fanboyism inevitably drives out anyone with some sense.

Desktop threads are, in my opinion, not technology and should not be on a technology board. (Don't even get me started on mobile homescreen threads)

Guts threads are fine.

Battlestations threads are okay. They fall somewhere between technology and interior design but, in my opinion, there's enough relevance for them to be here.

Those are all the issues I can remember right now that were being discussed on the /tech/ thread (it's since 404'd).

Guts and battle station threads are just /v/ winfags jerking each other off over their gaymer gear.
It's not like there's enough content here to prune stuff anyway.
