Nah, he's just weird and did some awkward trolling of the media when he was younger.

One of my favourites is Ian McShane, even though I haven't seen in that many things.

Obviously Deadwood is where it's at if you want to fall in love with him. He's also good in Pillars of the Earth, he had a nice little part in John Wick, and he played evil Santa in American Horror Story: Asylum.

>Crispin Glover is my #1 and I fully admit it's because I think he's a qt

Nice. I got a little crush on him myself back when I saw him in Willard.

I know, right? I always liked that the series starts out with Bullock arriving in Deadwood with Sol, setting up his business, making you think this is going to be the protagonist. But more and more it shifts towards Al being the main character, because let's face it, he is 10x more interesting than Bullock, and is played by a way better actor too.

There isn't really a bad actor in Deadwood, not that I can think of anyway. What a show, I should rewatch it (again).

File: 1446307335591-4.jpg (169.03 KB, 598x800, 299:400, Mary-Lynn-Rajskub-Feet-103….jpg)

Mary Lynn Rajskub is my Goddess.

I don't mean "Goddess" as a throwaway label I apply to anyone I find attractive, I mean that she IS my personal Goddess on a spiritual level. I know every detail about her there is to know, I treat her like a lifelong friend. I've watched everything she's been in, including all her comedy shows, and read everything she's wrote. I have attended her shows and met her whenever I could, and had her sign pictures that contained hidden shooped-in contracts that would slowly surrender herself to me. If you check the internet, you will also find some of the stuff I have written up about her on reputable sites. You will find out my name and age, among other things. And I don't give a shit. Of course, I never quite revealed the sheer extent to how much I truly love her.

From October 28th, 2013 (the tenth anniversary of Mary's debut on 24 as Chloe O' Brian), to July 14th, 2014 (the airing of the final episode of Live Another Day), I set up an altar in my bedroom in honor of Miss Rajskub. With my rather expensive $500 tablet surrounded by candles and carefully drawn lines that always had a slideshow of her pics on. At 12:00 AM every week an episode reached it's decennial (or aired) I made sure to bust my nuts over the screen of the tablet and to not dedicate a single drop of cum towards anyone else. I went to sleep with a printout of her on my crotch to make sure any wet dreams ended up on her too, of which I'm satisfied to say did happen on multiple occasions, with 2 dreams in particular featuring her. On the very first day after the final episode had aired and I got my driving license, I deconstructed the altar, drove to Detroit with her 'Stupid Hot' stand up playing on my radio, and threw the tablet into the river at precisely midnight as a sacrifice for my Goddess. When I got back in my car I spent the night in Detroit before driving back. Nothing in my life before or since has felt more magical than that moment.

On most days, she'll be the sweetest subservient girl you would ever meet. She will be kind, compassionate, and cute. Once a fortnight, however, I want her to dress up like Goth Chloe from Live Another Day and act really hard on me. I want her to leash me, force me to lick her fine leather boots and then her feet, sit on me and slap me silly like shPost too long. Click here to view the full text.

yes, go for it. some people dislike the later seasons because they just spin out of control and they do the usual thing where they focus on the story and forget about the ambience that was there in the previous seasons. however, imo it's a great series through and through it just changes with the story. i love how the tension grows in the latter seasons and you can see him change, see his spirit slowly crumble with time.

Rick And Morty. Lets talk about this increasingly brilliant show. It seems to hit the right notes of cynicism, melancholy and pessimism while still having a hopeful essence. The Mazzy Star scene convinced me that this was something special and not just another average cartoon. Thoughts tele?

The major thing to keep in mind when watching R&M is that it's very evident they are trying to find their correct niche', and trying different stuff.

because of that you will get many differring opinions on it.

Personally, i like that they've been trying different shit. you can even see them progressively moving from story-driven continuation to simpsons/futurama style "anything goes every episode" type stuff. Not sure if it'll end up at one or another, or remain an amalgamation of the both.

Towards the end of season one, things became a bit too serious. even though the story was pretty neat, having to allocate time to the story means the comedy of the episode kind of depreciates.

My two cents, anyway. Harmon's writing is always very exploratorive.

 No.90

I doubt it.

>>75

I really like Happiness, it seems pretty underrated, never heard anyone mention it at all, just stumbled upon it one day, Have you watched Welcome to The Doll House? it's by the same director as Happiness it's fucking excellent too.

Clue was alright, I like how it had alternate endings that tie in quite well, I didn't like the scenes where the characters recounted all the events to come to their conclusions.

Never watched A field in England.

Aliens is Aliens, what more is there to say.

The Artist is probably the best film of this current decade, at least that's the way I feel about it.

 No.93

>>90

Yay, someone else who likes Happiness, I can only remember one person ever mentioning it. I did see Welcome to the Dollhouse, and loved it. As I remember, his other movies (that I've seen) weren't as good as Happiness and Dollhouse. I want to rewatch them all before I make up my mind, but I would say Happiness > Dollhouse > Life During Wartime > Palindromes > Storytelling > Dark Horse. According to imdb his new movie Wiener-Dog is in post-production, so I'm definitely looking forward to that.

A Field in England is about a alchemist's apprentice who is tasked with arresting his master's former apprentice who stole alchemy-related stuff when he took off. He meets some civil war deserters in a field, and they all travel across the field together where some mysterious shit happens. It's pretty divisive in my experience, I heard many people think it's really pretentious or really boring. If you don't like the characters or the dialog or the cinematography or the mystery, then it will probably be boring, but all those elements really worked for me. It doesn't exactly spell out what's happening, and some bizarre stuff goes on, but I don't think it's pretending to be more than it is. I've seen a lot of people arguing about what it all meant, or that it was just pretentious experimental drivel that doesn't have any answers, but I don't think it's really as complicated as all that (or maybe I'm the one who doesn't get it haha).

>push back against Mad Max hurt it

well, this is obvious bullshit. there was no feminism in Mad Max, just a few paranoid individuals parroting conspiracy theories. there was no pushback, the movie was pretty much universally liked.

 No.92

>>88

I think certain outlets did play the bullshit 'finally, a feminist action movie!' card (which maybe that /cow/ guy is implying was pushed by the studio), and some forums on the other side of the spectrum picked up on that and in turn ran with the 'mad max ruined by feminism!' story, sometimes without even having seen the movie. But yeah, I think most people saw it for the fun, straightforward action movie it was.

Fury Road is 15th highest grossing this year, which isn't really anything to sneeze at. It certainly could have done better, but to say it was the feminism articles that hurt it does seem like an unverifiable asspull to me.

Why do people say this movie was great? Why do people say any of the Mad Max movies were great? The only good one (in my opinion) was Road Warrior and even then it was just an okay B-list action movie.

 No.34

I liked it because it was the most fun I've had going to the cinema in years. It looked great, had some pretty memorable scenes/visuals, it got straight to the action, both sides were a bit shit, it had pretty great world building (that they didn't ruin by over-explaining).

 No.77

It was cliched fun. Not so over the top to make you cringe, just the right amount of action and one dimensional characters to have a decent experience, just like my chinese cartoons

 No.84

It wasn't a B-list movie tho. It classifies as an A-list ACTION movie. You generally can't expect incredible plots in action heavy movies since they spend too much time doing ridiculously extreme shit.

God be praised, I had no idea this board existed. Perhaps here I can find refuge from all those fags that showed up since /got/ got banned over on 4chan for being too cancerous even for them.

I hope the board owner won't be too upset if we talk about the book series here as well. It's difficult to really talk about the show without it.

So, with season 6 on the way, people have been reporting seeing Kit Harrington up in Ireland in battle armor or some such shit, to the surprise of absolutely no one (except for dumbasses). However, with this next season, we're getting into new territory. Spoiler territory, possibly. As we all know, D&D are such incompetent writers that they can piss off bookfags, SJWs, anti-SJWs, and as of late, even showfags. Since a lot of the upcoming season will undoubtedly be original content, this does not bode well.

Is the Battle of Fire even going to happen?

If it does, will it be as shitty as the Battle of Ice? WHICH WAS FUCKING OFF SCREEN HOW DO YOU FUCKING DO THAT

Is Stannis really dead?

How much worse can this show get?

 No.55

Book/show discussion is fine.

As a showfag season 5 was just too awful for me to keep watching, even cleganebowl can't save it now. I doubt the Dykeknight actually killed Stannis, but at this point it doesn't really matter either way. Are the books worth starting or do they get this bad too?

 No.57

>>55

A lot of people decry the later books for being too padded and full of filler bullshit, but I disagree: The fat man is quite fond of dropping hints to future events all over the fucking place, and given how many characters end up running around later on, it results in a giant autistic web of connections, foreshadowing, and subtle planning. You don't need to understand this web to get the basics of what the fuck is happening, but part of the reason why he takes so long to finish a book is because well yeah he's wasting a lot of time on bullshit too he's got a major, crippling case of autism that compels him to rev things up and make them more and more intricate as time goes on.

In comparison, the show is extremely watered down. Characters are simplified, flaws (in the case of Dany, Jon, and Tyrion) are whitewashed, big events don't happen (The Battle of Fire) or are gutted (The entire fucking Dorne plotline), and at the end of the day, it's plain that D&D can't write their way out of a fucking paper bag.

That being said, yeah it's a bit of a slog later, but if you've got the time and want to get mad at D&D, then it's worth your while to pick them up.

Was I the only one severely disappointed by season 3?

>Frank acts like a little bitch for no reason. Nobody wants to see Frank feel bad and decide not to do something evil, he should just do it anyway and then monologue about how he doesn't feel bad.

>Claire turns into a psychotic attention-whoring piece of shit for no reason. She was truly Skylar White-tier this season.

>Not as dark or tense as the first 2 seasons. The only real "oh shit" moment was at the end with Doug, who seems to be the only character that hasn't been completely butchered.

>Blatant /leftypol/-tier propaganda. One of the great things about the first two seasons was how political parties were hardly mentioned in terms of ideology, now episodes are ending with fucking Pussy Riot songs.

 No.48

Anon the pussy riot episode was not supposed to make you either empathize or judge the pussy riot stand in. It was more of a political story that had no real clear answer when it came to those specific characters.
